V1 SE is trash...

On the bright side of it being trash I'm glad mine is still in the box....

:nono No paintball Snake Eyes. Just fixing the goggles are fine.

I'd like to see goggles fixed and then I want to see in hand pics of people darkening the HS. I think the proto pics are a bit light making it look even worse than it is.

I was hoping it would look more like the original which has a ballistics mask. There someting about the mask on this one that looks weird.

It's incorporated into the hood though and is a solid piece, not so much a paintball mask as a balaclava. Someone did a custom head that had a paintball-ish mask if that's what you're looking for.

Yep, CregCustoms, with visor, tactical goggles, classic goggles as well as an insert to simulate snake eyes without goggles all scarred up. Pretty nice package for the low price hes charging too.

I always thought it was balaclava with a protective piece for the lower part of the face, with goggles on top. The custom Gregg did looks great, but I wanted something more oldschool.

If he's got a piece there, it's under the balaclava. Version 4 was the first to do the actual paintball mask look.

Im not too familiar with military equipment, what is he wearing here?

I'll be honest, that's open to interpretation though the shading seems to match that of his gloves. But the figure, comic and cartoon all look like a vented balaclava vs. a paintball mask. :huh

Wiki has it as a balaclava as well:
He usually wears what could perhaps best be described as a black "military ninja" bodysuit, along with a balaclava and visor to cover his face, which was disfigured in a helicopter explosion. Since then, Snake Eyes has had extensive plastic surgery to repair the damage to his face; he still has a few scars left, but his vocal cords cannot be repaired. When shown out of his uniform, Snake Eyes is a six feet two inch tall Caucasian with an athletic build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. He has a pet wolf named Timber that has appeared several times in toys, comics, and animation.

I think Nam pegged it, the art on the card looks very hard and helmet like, but the comics show the mask being very clothlike especially when Snake removes it, it looks kind of like Spidermans mask (material wise, ie. thin) as its being pulled off.

I would agree, through all these years it always looked like a balaclava to me.

The one by CregCustoms is some nice work, but looks too much like a paintball mask than the 1982 Commando. Would prolly work best for a 1991 version.
