I saw recent pics from the Japan toyshow place.

And the production isnt even remotely close to the proto!!!

Do you have a link of what you saw, i was really looking forward to getting this, but if its "really different" from the prototype :( that would suck

so in other words....it sucks??

Sorry fellas. Thought I was in the HT Bespin Luke thread again.... my bad..

But Snake Eyes just might be the one where the production can look better than the prototype. :lecture

LINE IS DEAD!

I would say its headed in that direction

We may have a couple years of Joe left

But Sales say that these are not selling as fast and were ARE going to deal with higher prices in the next year...

Financial forecasters are calling for higher inflation (thanks to the overprinted, worthless ****ty dollar)

which means expect EVERYTHING to go up in price across the board (it already has been going up)

That is why I want my joes now, because as time goes on,its going to get out of hand and unafforded for most of us.

I'll buy them until the line stops. Then I'll buy a bunch on the sm to kitbash some more.

If Sideshow kills the Joe line...well...then I'll just be buying the Star Wars line...but I'll be mad as hell!

I may even write a strongly-worded letter to Sideshow.

I'd be happy with as the last 8

Destro
Scarlet
Gung-ho
Snowjob
Baroness
Major Bludd
Snow Serpent
Mutt and Junkyard

:lecture:lecture:lecture :exactly::goodpost: Unfortunately, if there's one thing Sideshow excels at, it's neutering the momentum in their 12" lines. :lol

Though if their intentions are the usual, "we'll get them to collect the polystone instead" mentality, I think they'll lose the Joe base completely not understanding the very spirit of Joe collectors. Hell, I'm even surprised their 12" line has been as successful as it's been, being non-Hasbro and $100+. :lol

I hate that they have used the excuse of, we are now making DC 12" figures so lets slow down the other 12" lines(especially joe)...while they have yet to pre-order any DC 12" at all,but teased at SDCC

They want collector's to afford everything 1/6? well stop making stupid expensive, boring statues....certain collector's want certain things, and slowing the line down is a fail in my book

That's SSC's typical M.O. They have done this with every license they have ever had. Slow releases, lost collector interest, lost sales...abandonment. Even Star Wars is slowing down. Collectors jumped ship and lost interest after umpteen clone repaints and rising prices are killing the hobby fast.

Did you have a relapse or something?

better give us Destro before this line takes an overpriced, loss of interest dump

i will never lose interest in this joe line as long as they bring them ill buy

Yeah, with baroness and major Bludd; that **** was like FIYAH.

And they're coming out with a chrome dome cobra commander? Oh man. I'm on that like white on rice! Was never into the hooded one.

market strategy, the keep improving with newer better releases and updated better characters, i bet they come out with a third snake eyes later with a ninja 85 look that will blow the other 2 out of the water.

Which is why we see 4+ (SDCC exclusive) releases a year?

I'll never lose interest as well, but unfortunately reality is that prices will one day reach critical mass where I have to say "That's it". It's already done so with polystone statues and PFs for me. Unfortunately, I see it happening in the future with the 1/6 Joe line. I've already had to bow out of anything Hot Toys releases.

I can no longer buy anything and everything I want like before when I had no kids. Children get more expensive, not less, as they get older.
