I'll never lose interest as well, but unfortunately reality is that prices will one day reach critical mass where I have to say "That's it". It's already done so with polystone statues and PFs for me. Unfortunately, I see it happening in the future with the 1/6 Joe line. I've already had to bow out of anything Hot Toys releases.

Meh, I've axed Star Whores, so I'll buy every exclusive Joe Sideshow puts out until I deem them absurdly expensive (ATM, SE's bordering on "ridiculously" but not absurdly). At that point, I'll just bash the ones I want. There were some outstanding customs pre/concurrent with Sideshow (MANDO/Ski), I've no doubt the tradition'll continue long after Sideshow has dropped the line like almost every other 1:6 license they've had.

Kids or no kids, the prices keep a lot of folks from getting everything they want. With each increase, it becomes harder and harder to justify the spending on what is more or less a hobby. And while I'll never argue against more frequent releases, I'd hate to miss out on certain figures because I really, absolutely can't afford it. Much like Dino, there have been a number of HT releases that I've had to pass on that I might have otherwise purchased if not for the price. I love the Joe line (I'm hopelessly hooked), but it's going to be real tough come release time if/when each figure is $200 or more, which is the way the prices seem headed. It probably won't deter me, but it certainly won't make it any easier.
