Back to the potential base issue:



Here is a pic of my base. Apparently others have received similar bases (so far). Now, this is NOT MEANT TO SAY that all the bases are like this. It could very well be just the first few of us as pics are only now popping up. Let's not start a panic please. However, it would be nice if people with a perfect base can post pics.

If they're all like this, I could live with it. The statue is stunning (though the rubbed off lettering could become an issue should I decide to sell it one day). However, if clean bases are out there, I'd ask for a new one.

By the way, there were no red sprinkles (the red ink/paint from the lettering) peppered in the styrofoam. This was placed in the box that way.

mine looks pretty similar. maybe ss is doing this so these can't be recast?

I don't think the logo is supposed to be perfect. It's the same way on the box top as well as all the other box logos.....

...but some of those bases are just jacked up. Yours looks to be the best so far. At least it doesn't have that thumbprint that some have.

I think it's just a poor design. It's supposed to look something like damaged lettering. Look at the top of the color box. The lettering is the same, yet doesn't look as bad because it is not on the same color background. Mine is the same way.

I never thought the smudgy letter was intentional. Hmmm.

I think you might be right. I'll post pics of the box in a minute.

Heads on those things are night and day different. I personally like the Comiquette much more. But yeah, poses are pretty much identical.
