For me,

- Boba Fett looks cool as hell with that gun and is the 2nd easiest buy of the lot

- Obi Wan is probably a buy but looks kind of plain to me... we'll see when its time to order

- Vader is easiest buy but I sure hope the glow paint job comes out as good as the proto... its got me worried.

- Maul looks very cool to me and I have nothing for the prequals so I all ready ordered.

- Gamorrean Guard I like the different pose for him and he looks neat overall but he would be the least interesting of the 5 so far... another we'll see on release day.

Obi and Maul are the only must-haves for me.

The Obi head sculpts are just insanely beautiful...and I love Maul's epic training pose with his tattooed abs showing. :yess:

:clap Good for you man, I know LOTR is more your cup of tea welcome to the Dark Side!! :vader I've been 100% onboard since I first laid my eyes on Obi-Wan. These suckers are just too good to pass up. All of them shall be mine! :devil

Thanks! :duff I won Obi-Wan at the Freaks party in 2011, have Maul on order but thought I was done with getting items. Vader is really exceptional I think. So I'll make it 3 from this line of statues. I have to be very picky with so much LOTR and The Hobbit stuff coming.

I took a lot of video of the Sideshow booth but I did get some of these in there.

he is for me the most interesting character.. specially you dont see him not that much in different kind of versions..

as much as I loved Boba at the begin.. not sure about that one anymore. I have the PF Boba and the one from Gentle Giant.. not sure if I really need another one..

To those who saw these at SDCC in person, what size cabinet would be the minimum for the width x depth of the biggest one?

Looks as if Obi is the widest with his cloak and saber, depth too.

Think a 500mx500m would be okay for these (one per shelf)

I wish these had been staggered with the DC releases. Too many items on PO already (including the mythos maul) and this statue looks awesome. Not that happy with the price hike but looking at the detail makes me think this is going to be one kick ass momma.

A regretful pass for me (unless a tidy windfall heads my way) otherwise a big congrats to those that end up owning him.

I'm sure this has been asked, but does anyone have an idea of when we'll see a PO for Vader?

I'm not a huge Star Wars guy but the proto made my jaw drop. If they get the paint right, it's a must own I think.

So far SS is following the order they previewed their stories in - Maul, Kenobi, looks like Fett is next, then Vader followed by the Gammy. This is assuming they stick to that pattern.

Ordered obi and maul. If price is going up 100 per piece like we saw from maul to obi I hope they slow down. To much goodness coming up at once.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that an Obi Wan PF variation like this Mythos version could be on the horizon. I think I am going to wait and see what that looks like.

Screw that get them both! I probably will. :wave

Just a comment re the price of these pieces...
First, I think the pieces look fantastic. :clap Lots of detail and I'm loving how they stretch the characters beyond the classic movie poses. When maul launched at 250 I said to myself that's about right. him not being a very large piece without the base and considerably less detail than what you would find on some higher caliber mixed media premium formats that are generally much larger. Take for example the new joker pf that is fishing a mere 100 more than the maul mythos.
Then obi wan launched for preorder. Considerably more detail and a more iconic character. There was a lot of excitement around this piece as it is unique and tells a story of its own which hits the hearts of classic trilogy fans. But 350? :huh
It's safe to say, I will be moving forward with the purchase. I've been excited about the launch and the 100 difference is now a grudge I'll have to swallow. I think SS needs to look across the line and recalibrate the worth of some of their items. When a 1/5 statue hits for 100 less than what I've seen some pfs and, dare I say from a couple years ago, 1:1 busts, I feel they are truly driving up the price not due to higher cost, but because they feel it's an easy cash grab. :lecture
Again, I love the look of the line but let's keep prices set accordingly and try to keep this hobby accessible to your loyal fan base.

Any 'easy cash grab' means that people are generally willing to pay the greater difference for the statue (because the statue is worth the price to the buyers). If people are hesitating to pay the extra $100, then the cash grab is not so easy.

I think it was mentioned during Spooktacular, a year or two ago, that an Episode III Obi-Wan PF was in the works.
