Once HT reveals theirs, I’m in big trouble.

:lol

No worries.. Many of SS offerings hold up. Many collectors integrate them both together. I'm not about to replace all my SS figures for new HT figures.

It's a game of patience. Either go for what's available now, or hold out for something a little better down the line. There will always be things you regret buying or missing out on, good purchase decisions and bad purchase decisions... It's all part of the fun of the hobby (obsession?) with collecting. Especially with Star Wars. I'm slowly thinking it's more a disease and that I need help.. :wink1:

Remember Disney wants to bury the past & the OT and focus on their new movies and designs. They refuse to admit that the only fans carrying them on the merch sales front are the old timers they want to get rid of. I wouldn't take a ST figure for a free, unless I was allowed to sell/trade it for an OT figure...
Remember what? ...isn’t that more like a conspiracy theory? Why would they want to bury the past? And, as you say, the fans who creates the money flow? unless you are talking about the EU that would make it totally impossible to make new movies in continuation of the old ones. And that’s exactly that. If they wanted to bury the past they wouldn’t be doing a continuation of the past. Total fan service like TFA. Even make movies that intermingles with the OT, like Rogue One and Solo. Disney knows exactly what they have and how dependent their investment is on the OT and the old fans.
Sometimes it feels like SW fans are more paranoid than most... dunno 🤷

Your kidding, right? Johnson & Kennedy have both been quoted saying their new ST movies are not for the old fan base, but for a new generation of fans. And that they don't owe the original fan base anything... If you don't like their new movies then just "move along".... Not gonna look for proof, but plenty of youtube vids out there.

Whatever they are saying the fan service in the new movies show that they do care. But I also totally agree with them that the new movies shouldn’t be made for us old fans. They should be for everyone. And I also agree that they shouldn’t restrict their goals with the franchise because of us. They should be doing good movies. Some think they do some don’t.

The new movies shouldn't cater only to the old fans, that I agree with, but what would please the old fan base should be included in their decisions. The goal should be to try to make EVERY SW fan happy, old and new, not just focusing on new and alienating a majority of the old. If not for us old fans, SW would've died in the 80's, or floundered when the PQ's were released in 1999 cause no one cared anymore. It has held strong for 40+ years because of how it affected us and what it meant to us.

I liked TFA (none of the character designs mind you, but the movie itself), and looked forward to TLJ. But Johnson undid everything JJ set up with no regard to continuity. That's all on Johnson & Kennedy, and why he needs to constantly stand behind and justify the decisions he made.

But yeah, let's move on and get back on topic talking about the awesome OT Biker Scout... :wave

So I think I will need 2 of these troopers as I have 2 of all the others and also the upcoming Royal Guard. Do you think when HT gets to the Scout they'll do a 2 pack? What exclusive item would they add?

The DLT-19X Sniper Rifle probably. And a severed Ewok head. :)

Finally got round to playing Battlefront 2, Hot Toys need to release it as that version as they did with the Snowtrooper so they can include the sniper rifle. Despite the justified stick the game got it's fun to play online as Empire troopers, especially this one.

Last convention I trooped in my Scout Trooper costume, alot of kids ran up to me and said ”We always get killed by you when we play battlefront”.

Cool, the rifle fires quicker than the normal sniper guns you get in the CoD games so you don't need to be as skilled.

Just received my Scout Trooper.
I already ordered a new body for him, and a MG34 for his sniper rifle.

This is probably my favourite trooper design (next to the Death trooper). I still intend on making a diorama for my troopers. Can't wait for iden versio to join the fray.

About mods, I just gave him a coffee bath to stain his white parts a bit, I opened up his pockets and divided the contents so that it doesn't look like he is carrying diapers , gave him the DT sniper rifle.

Once the new body arrives I'll upgrade him and post more pics.

SS Scout trooper body that bad ?

I have SS Tie pilot +AT-AT but theyre doing ok

For me its mainly the proportions. I've seen a few customs with the slim body, and it looks much better, thats why I'm willing to give it a try.
I think this is a marvelous figure, otherwise I wouldnt have bought it, its just an improvement.

At minimum you need to strip the figure and dremel the sides of the torso so the arms can lay flat alongside the body. It's one of the worst figs I've seen in that regard. The arms can only come down to maybe a 60-70 angle.

Out of the box, the figure also look like someone pulled his undies up toward his armpits - it all needs to be pulled down a bit (and if possible, expanding the teeny-panties crotch cover piece they gave him.)

thank you, save me $200+ for SS Scout trooper... so many bad reviews in here clearly something wrong with the figure quality

Not really - a lot of people on here seem to like it. For me, it was one of the weakest SSC troopers and I sold mine a few months after getting it.
