I think the bike will be most likely made of plastic. Hope at least to be sturdy enough to hold the Scout properly and not easily break.

It will most probably follow Probe Droïd pattern being mostly plastic with only the support rod being metal.

Unfortunately, most toys/collectibles companies tend to rely on softer plastic in recent years. We'll see what Sideshow goes for when it comes to technical solution.

Unlike the Scout on Speederbike PF which is in fact a statue, the 1:6 Scout and bike need to be made in such a way that you can put the trooper easily on the bike and not break it.

It damn well better be excellent build quality.

I ordered it the other night because for years I had always wanted the PF but just didn't have the space to display it. The 1/6 is a better option so I couldn't pass this up.

I bought a Hasbro bike the other day as my Sideshow bike money went on HT Han and Chewie.

Sent from atop my Dewback.

80 bucks later I have 2 Hasbro speeder bikes and think they look great. Definitely going to get 2 scouts rather than buy the SSC bike, but where to display all this ****? :lol

Ugh, tell me about it. With every release I'm calculating display space and figuring out what I have to sell or rotate to make things work. Really need to win a lottery of some sort to keep everything. :p

Yep. Got more boxed than displayed at this point. Really think about selling more stuff, but the hoarder in me makes it hard to do.

I stopped buying what I can't display long ago. Now when something is announced, I figure out if I can display it before I pull the trigger.

It's sad but I have never had anything I've bought actually on display since I started collecting almost 3 years ago. (Had some major set-backs last 5 years that we're still recovering from, so compromise is to buy the stuff until I can set-up our home office properly.) So what I'm calculating as display space has yet to be built. I already have too much (when adding what I know is on the way over the next several years) or that I would need to heavily rotate at some point. Realistically, I know it would be too much hassle, so I'm getting ready to sell stuff I really like but that I never got to enjoy on display. :/

Funny thing is that before this hobby, I was a minimalist that hated clutter and now I have tons of boxes in closets and in my basement, haha. Really I'm quite fortunate to be able to afford this stuff but it is a constant push/pull between the hobby and other priorities, with lots of little compromises (like custom shelving). I think I will just break down and get some reasonable display cabinets from IKEA as a stop-gap to the 'perfect' shelving, just so I can have at least some stuff on display. My wife said she saw what she described as a Detolf replacement on her last trip to IKEA, so I will check that out (nobody quote me on that as I have no idea what she saw :p).

Damn your Vulcan logic, Pixel!

Better to acquire, and then set space as a goal to be attained. Seems like an expensive risk to wait for the space, and then track down long sold out figures. Besides, does putting off the purchase make the space available faster?

That's kinda where I'm at right now too! :lol :gah:

You don't have room for your two figures?

I just got back from Ikea and ready to expand (just doubled my display space.) Empty the bank account, fill the shelf and damn the consequences...:horror
