1/6 Sideshow Star Wars Scout Trooper 1/6th Scale Figure

I think I'll get at least one Scout Trooper. The speeder bike while cool I'll probably pass on though. I'd like to have a decent number and vaiety of Original Trilogy Troopers. Wish I hadn't missed out on the Snow Troopers, I have a feeling Hot Toys may do a Sand Trooper as a variant at some point since they've already got the base figure with the normal Storm Trooper.

My 1:6 philosophy has gone the complete opposite direction. If it's not Star Wars, it has to be something extremely special to even be considered. If it's OT Star Wars, it's pretty much a lock. Star Wars is why I buy action figures.

Agreed on that last point. I have very few 1/6 wants outside of Star Wars, I just want to get the best I can to enhance the space they're in. This is a property it's easy to go nuts on...for a collector like yourself, that's a good thing (for you if not your wallet). For me, I'm presented with the challenge of editing a collection down to the bare minimum.

Only thing that worries me is the HT stormtroopers. Stormtroopers specifically are why I got back into toys after years. I may break my rule for multiples of those, if I like what I see in-hand.

Don't get into Game of Thrones then. The ThreeZero stuff is hands-down better than what Hot Toys and Sideshow are doing right now.

LOL...seen it, although not in-hand. As much as I love the series, I'm not compelled to own a piece of it as of yet. I think it's because nostalgia is one of the triggers for the pieces of pop culture I own...Batman (Animated/NBA) ...Spider-Man...Bruce Lee... Star Wars... TMNT (Mirage)...Ninja, Samurai...

...there are plenty of other things I either enjoyed as a child or still do, but for whatever reason I don't manifest them in toys or collectibles.

Game Of Thrones is highly unlikely, although...never say never.

I agree with you that Hot Toys in general are hit and miss, and often overpriced. A lot of hype comes with that brand although there is no doubt they have some excellent product.

My opinion of Sideshow is relatively low, but when they *do* hit a high note, I think they pretty much kill it.

Moral of the story is: no company gets a free pass. Case by case.

As you might already know when talking about SW I only collect Imperials (with minor exceptions). And even within this limit I only collect what I like. For example I didn't like the ESB/ROTJ SSC Vader, neither the new HT Vader, so pass on both.

Yes...although your collection is one of the larger ones I've seen, it's very methodical and well-edited in its own right. You're also very patient, as I recall.

Hoping for sandtroopers aswell.

Star Wars is definately my 1/6th want. I enjoy reading the threads in other parts of the forum (Marvel especially) but nothing has had that must buy feeling that I got when I first saw the scout trooper.
