Sorry to bump an old thread, but something I've always wondered, what are the differences between the V.1 Scout and V.2 Scout?
@Thorondor_33 - I remembered someone wrote a detailed comparison so I went back several pages.

I guess Kylo Ren did one in between smashing up some consoles and force choking subordinates.

Someone asked for a comparison between the rerelease and original a while ago not sure if there's been one yet.
The rerelease version of the Sideshow Scout Is surprisingly quite a bit of an improvement over the original. It's on a better body, has a better paint job and is glossy compared to the matte of v1, the cummerbund is a better fit and a more accurate material, not as heavily weathered and the body suit is better. Knee pads still totally wrong though.

I didn’t like the way Sideshow did the armor as more of a rubbery material either.

I think this may actually have been the first Star Wars figure I bought, and my first (and so far only) Sideshow human type character. Kind of put me off buying more stuff from Sideshow to be honest.

I just got this SS Speeder bike and loose scout trooper for $215 at thrift store (Bikes needed lots of work done on it but I manage to fixed it up and have Cool bike and Trooper)
Let’s hope hot toys one make the part out of metals or stronger materials then Sideshow

Awesome shot @jedibear.

It's cool that SS included the blaster rifle. I wish HT would continue to include the extra blaster rifles with the troopers, like some of their previous releases. The Mando ST Commander has a extra E-22 blaster, so that's a welcome trend.

Long ago I got a couple extra 1/6 MG-34 rifles from Toy Anxiety, and I'm sure many similar rifles can be found online. It is good when a company adds many extra parts, but if they don't you can find some good ones yourself. You can even customize the ones you find by adding greeblies on them too

Thanks jkno, it's a super fun project idea... I appreciate the feedback!

I've been planning on doing that very thing and recently picked up some Dragon Models Limited (DML) MG's because they were a good deal. They came with pleather straps, but not surprising, they were too far deteriorated to salvage, that's fine... I wasn't planning on using them.

I've also been ordering some various Evergreen styrene to add scratch built elements. One of the more difficult small scale styrene types to find has been the T-Rail for the barrel details. I still need to do more searching though.

I found out when researching the top one is the MG34T PANZERLAUF (armor barrel) tank and armored vehicle variant. The included bipod was removed and I'd like to mod this one similar to the Boba Mythos DLT-19 with cloth wrappings for 40th Prepro Fett. :coffee:

Exactly. Very cool. I bought mine with the idea of making an Imperial rifle rack for them some day.

That'd be neat too. I've come across something like this in the collection display thread, a blaster rifle rack that came with a trooper, maybe it was a SS release. I'd like to see that when you finish it!

Found it..
