I don't have one, that's simply what I'd allways been told. Can you post comparison pictures?

Regardless, i still want a medicom one, just never had the opportunity to get one. As stormies are not ALL clones, having varying sizes of troopers in there makes for a better looking squad IMO.

heh, he's right just found pics of one in the forsale section

Yea, its just the helmet thats off with the Medicom Sandtrooper..jeezz man, so many false asumptions about the medi-stormies on here..i would say on average not many people own them or just lead a blind eye on the figure all together do to it not being to scale with a buck lol..Marmit has made the most screen accurate sandtroopers and stormtroopers to date, and i don't see it changing for another long time, the SSC Sandtrooper though..will look better then the Medicom one but, i still think the medicom Stormtrooper edges out the SSC one.

Meh, both are good. and if i ever find a medi sandy in my price range ( around 100$) AND I've got the cash, i'll get one. My Medicom Stormy is one of my personal favorites. I still Hate the medibody regardless, however. I'll ALLWAYS prefer aot of my sidehsow figures for that reason alone. i am however working on a permentent fix for my shoulder breaks. Medicom makes some AWESOME figures, but atleast I don't cringe every time i move a sideshow or hot toys figures arm :(

Perhaps i'm ham-fisted, but as much as i've paid for some of these, they should not be MORE fragle than a revltech figure.

No way huh? their bodies are that fragile?..i never posed mine all that much but, it seemed pretty good..i would say they are a little brittle then on the joints?..i have heard complaints before...and its not a easy body to find and replace also, i think.

Yeah. I still remember my mdeicom comic version spider man breaking his hip AS I REMOVED HIM FROM THE BOX. his other hip broke shortly thereafter.. and his shoulder broke as i was fixing his legs. So far i've had to replace shoulders on about 90% of my medicom figures. i've only had to replace the hips on my medi spidey. Both versions black and red/blue

My medi vader's shoulders broke when he was getting shipped to me
ditto on medi- stormi, as well as his ankle
comic spidey has had over 5 shoulders replaced.
comic venom is awaiting a replacement shoulder also.
I'm working on adapting hot toys shoulders to fit the medicom body, as they seem to be made of a better design and stronger plastic.
the shoulders allways break the same way also. Gimmi a second and i'll post a pic.

the only figures i've never had break so far from medicom are Jango, Boba, Medi Luke, Magneto, Comic wolverine, L, Light, Edward, and Alphonse.. I hope none of those ever break. I'd Cry.
Medicom bodies are kinda easy to get, but usualy go for about 50$. I've had to buy atleast 1 for each of those breaks i've had to fix, and the figures who have broken more than once... well.. it adds up.
if i can get hot toys bodies shoulders to work, i would rather go that route, as I can get a truetype with no hands, feet, or neck adapter for around 10$ + a few dollars for shipping. and it gives me replacement hot toys parts.

Only problem i had with the lone 3 medicom figures i own was ROTS Vaders helmet..the peg inside to attach the final piece snapped off so easy when i attached it..its the cheapest thing about that figure for sure.

this is just my opinion, but i think the reason for the broken shoulders on medi figures comes from the fact that instead of using a screw to secure teh teo parts of the shoulder, they use a push-in "pressure-peg" that can cause hairline stress fractures in the plastic upon insertion. this places unessacary stress on the plastic, and if you are one to do extreme posing (like me) then the joints take further stress, and eventualy crack the plastic enough that it can no longer hold in the pressure pin.

yeah, i've seen that happen as well. one of the reasons i BARELY handle my mdicom vader.

Thank god the newer Medi figures are using better plastic. The older ones for sure had their problems.

About that comparassion on Sandtroopers to Stormtroopers..he is comparing the wrong helmets i think, when it comes to a Stormtrooper there was two helmets in ANH..Hero for close up shots(more details on the helmet) and Stunt version(less detail and flat lenses, more teeth etc..) only the Sandtroopers wore Stunt helmets so, in the pics he is clearly comparing the Hero Stormie to the Stunt Sandtrooper and really, it should be a comparassion between the stormie stunt and the sandtrooper stunt.

Just to point that out lol.

I am not sure if it has been talked about it. This Stormtropper/Sideshow was made in Association with Hot Toys:banana. Maybe that is the reason why this AF is great.

That was just for the body underneath it all, i believe..i would expect a more accurate representation of this character..if it were Hot Toys directly behind the wheel.

Dude give it up already, the Stormtrooper is fine. "Complaining about it won't do you any good."

I can have my opinion good sir, people joke all the time about the shrimp medicom right? so, i can state what i think about any other product you like so much..just don't mind what i say..you are the one taking it to another level..and i am not complaining..just stating the obvious..it was Hot Toys that made the body..thats it, and its a loose one at that usually..i am not going to pretend like you..sorry.

And its so not complaining..just my expectations from Hot Toys is far greater, because they do such a good job on most of their lines..nothing wrong with seeing the differences..its guys like you that can't understand...just let it go man.. and read.

I think what he's refering to is the fact that in the last 25 posts 9 of them have been you stating the same opinion (again and again). Stating an opinion is fine--ad nauseum gets tiring for some as they try and read through the thread.

Is it necessary to state something over and over again?

The horse is dead. Other thoughts?

Is this thread not for discussing this figure?, well..i am not totally bashing it..but, i am sure Hot Toys would not had went with the style of this figure, they would make it much better..Sideshow had to go to Hot Toys to make them bodies..so, there is nothing on the figure visually that makes me think..damn! Hot Toys really made the difference here..its just apparent..but, Clone Obi Wan..you can tell Hot Toys was in it there..just like Gandalf and the Hobbits...like i said, nothing visually gives it away that Hot Toys worked on it...then i get some stupid message saying i am complaining? how so?..people in here say the medicom is soft armor and short and yadda yadda..but, thats ok right? because we are talking about a overpriced POS and this figure is perfect..riiighht...You may think i have some chip on my shoulder about this figure but, its not the case..i don't agree that Hot Toys played a big part and making this figure supposed "home run"..the body made is fine..a little skinny and armor does not fit well on it at all but, its pretty good..see, some agree on things and some don't...i did not agree with what superkudx said..not totally anyway.

Anyone else want to chime in with anything new?

Look again on yours ;)

Thanks for the advice. I took it and all I can say is you should really check your Medi Sandy too. I don't recall there being any Sandtroopers in ROTJ. ;)

In the end, I could really give two craps or a screw about the differences between the troopers. If you're going to nitpick it to hell, you're taking the fun out of collecting as I don't see how the hell you can really enjoy it with posts like that. I also find it completely hypocritical that people nitpick the hell out of Sideshow's releases whereas these same people cut the other companies slack despite them cutting corners by molding pieces together, being equally inaccurate and nearly twice the price (Medicom) or requiring 100x the amount of work (Marmit) just to make them acceptable.
