was wondering if anyone who attended sdcc that saw the stormtrooper up close could give an opinion to how well this compares to the marmit st. (im sure it may be buried in this thread somewhere but ......) i own several marmit st's and can only judge from pics and i must say they look rather identical......or damn close anyway.

the SST Stormtrooper is as different form the Marmit and Medicom as the Marmit and Medicom are to each other... i have had them all, but this is the one that has me stoked.

thats good to hear...........i just hope on the new body that at the very least they have a good strong wrist joint, because i foresee that this figure probably more so in this line than any other would be the most "played" with .......er, um................posed in different positions for photographic reasons only...:D

Just from pictures the Sideshow version looks a little tighter desing-wise than the Marmit kit. Also, you'll most likely (unless disaster strikes) have a better base body and you can't beat the cloth belt :rock

yea that cloth belt is gonna come in handy.............but i dont know where i would use it ...

I wish SS would some us some different poses so we can get an idea of how well he can move.

Well Stormtroopers aren't known for their awesome kung-fu-ninja-monkey-action-star-move ablity. :lol

Very true. I was mainly concerned with the range of motion of the arms and legs. I'll leave the acrobatics to Spiderman.

I agree, kinda disappointed they haven't done any action poses with them... they really need to show off the new body :rock

As long as they can hold any pose the actors achieved in the movies wearing them, that will be enough for me. You can't ask for any more maneuverability than there would be for a real man in armor.

Did anyone else notice that the exclusives were set less than Vader? Vader's LE status was 1977 but the Exclusive Stormtrooper is set at a measly 1500?!

Yeah it was very surprising they only did 1,500 exclusive Stormtroopers... its not a super desirable accessory, but still I think that bodes well for it holding value over time.

Yeah, the ES is quite surprising. Really figured this would be no less than 1977 for the ex but more in the 3k range.

Which means they shouldn't be able to sit down :lol

Hey I gotta ask you guys something.
I have 2 Stormtroopers on pre-order and since I just now noticed the limit is 7 I was considering getting 4 instead, so can I just pre-order another 2 Stormtroopers and will they then all four be shipped as one package or do I have to pay shipping for two packages then?

From my personal experience, you should just pre-order 4 pc and once this order is confirmed, cancelled your previous order of 2 pc.

I pre-ordered the Hobbits Sam and Frodo seperately and they came shipped together, helping me save on shipping costs. On the other hand, I pre-ordered 2 pc of Bespin Luke seperately and they came shipped seperately just a few days from each other, resulting in higher shipping costs for me.
