Why would SSC send their only production piece to DC for approval without looking at it first? I would think they would at least ask to see pictures from the factory before shipping it to the licensor for approval. How do they respond to questions from DC without seeing the piece they sent them. This is DC we received your Man of Steel Statue and we have a question about some asthetic choices. SSC employee what details, I am not sure i can help you with this because we never saw the statue we sent you and therefore don't know what it looks like or even what you are referring too.

I honestly just logged on just now to make that very point and was greeted by the above. Exactly right. I understand that they are behind in getting this through production and in our hands and all, but this makes no sense. Approval from DC would have had to have been secured MONTHS ago in order for them to push the "Go" button on production. There is no logic in the idea that they just shipped the only production sample to DC in such a rush that they had no time to photograph it (or another sample) when they are due to ship to customers in a matter of days.

Doesn't add up, folks. So I'll renew my concern again. Seems like they are hiding this piece from us...

We should all take shots at contacting SS and seeing how many different load of crap replies we get lol. They are definitely trying to keep something from us

I'm sure SS has seen the piece. The customer service reps haven't, but someone from SS definitely has. Just because the reps say it doesn't make it true.

There's absolutely no doubt of that, Marker. The time line falls apart if the 'Alex' report is a recent account. My concern is that the story she reportedly told our member sounds a bit too specific to have been made up on the spot. If what she said was something of a talking point the reps have been given to use for these types of inquiries -talking points that clearly must be false- then what is the truth that they are not sharing?

Don't want to start a conspiracy theory here, but it just seems... Odd. I've been excited about this piece for many, many months now, and now if feel my hand hovering over the cancel button which is exactly how SS DOESN'T want me feeling about this only days away from fulfillment. I guess we'll all know how good or how bad he turned out in a matter of days now, so I suppose we should just be patient.

I've asked for reassurances that the production piece was approved by both DC and Sideshow QC.

Wow, a PUBLIC Customer Service page for high-end fantasy collectible patrons. May be the worst idea ever contimplated . You would think SS would know their customer base by now . It's gonna be a blood-bath. Do they not read our threads???

Hi James - Thanks for stopping by. Now when you say Man of Steel PF you're talking about the Henry Cavill version right? If so, be advised that we receive production samples not only for DC approval but also for Sideshow to approve. I can assure you that we are reviewing these pieces throughout the manufacturing process. I hope this clarifies your concerns but if I missed something please let me know. Thanks! -Billy

Not entirely true...The On Stranger Tides Jack Sparrow had a total facial resculpt and they never updated the product photo gallery. SS 1/6 Batman didn't change from proto to production but he still got an updated product gallery so it's really whatever they feel like

If you're from the very very first proto that was shown at SDCC 2-3 years ago, then yes. but the version that went up for PO didn't change in production.
