I've never even heard of Enterbay lol. I'm getting the PF. I don't even consider PFs real statues and I hate the soft goods they use for clothes.

I think the clothes are there to bring more life to statue but I see what you mean.

Maquettes for the win!

:huh

So do you consider them statues, even though they usually have clothes?

I think I have about 12 or 13 maquettes in my collection and I can't think of any that have clothes. I consider them better than a statue... something that has some sort of direct lineage to the movie...

Mixed media is my fave. 1/4 scale is my fave. The size hits the sweet spot of being impressive. not out of reach $$$ wise and big enough for sculptors to do great work.

I do have both the Supe and Bat 1/1 busts now though and they are beasts lol.

When I think of maquettes the first thing that comes to mind is cinemaquette, and all those human characters have clothes. So u must mean not human characters then right?

listen, i'm not here to cause a gripe between those who have the Enterbay figure and those who are going to pre order the PF...i'm just seeing it from my own point of view although i'm still struggling to see how anyone would think the PF facesculpt is better than Enterbays BD version :dunno For me its a no brainer

Do Statue collectors hate Figures that much that they cant see which is better?

I think the EB looks great. However (and I say this as someone who has not seen it in person) there is something plasticy looking about the face. It's too smooth or shiny or something. But like I said I have not seen it in person. Personally I am starting to really like this BD T2 and it's starting to look like SSC best Terminator PF and I am not as big of a fan of T2 as a movie as I am T1. But I love the angry expression and the weathered clothing.

Personally I think the face sculpt looks as good as EB but the paint apps are not as good. Of course the SSC version has flash going on but even if it did not it would still not be as nice of a paint job as EBs (plastic looking or not)

There is just something about the SSC version that I like.... Perhaps it is that Polystone look. I still think that clothing on the EB figures still have that dress up doll appearance in some of the photos. But like I said I have not seen one in person.

I'm looking at the pose of the PF and even that looks off to me...again, the benefits of having the EB figure is that you can pose it anyway you like (not that i'm saying that have the ability to pose works in every case) but in this case i think it definately benefits....plus the Thumbs Up Exclusive is also a bit lame imo. I'd want an Exclusive to be something i could use to enhance the statue in some way rather than an accompany piece

I do, however, LOVE the PF base!!!!

Yeah it certainly is, but I think that is more of an understatement, the pose just looks weird.

I like the pose. I think it's supposed to have that "**** is f'ed up and not working like they should" that he is slightly of balance and probably has a limp. Like he as been to hell and back.

No it is because it is plastic, both Hot Toys and Enterbay usually look plastic looking to me except the EB Joker. I think it is because there is no base coat since it is just flesh colored PVC, with added details. That being said, the EB BD Terminator head sculpt still looks closer to real skin than Polystone.

I think you probably prefer a sculpted look as opposed to something that looks like plastic. Nevertheless, plastic can still pass for the real thing since it looks more like skin, whereas polystone can not.

I know what you mean but it still looks weird to me, wish they went for something else, this is why I like figures better, so I can change the pose. Each to their own though. :peace

The pose looks like he's just left the Nags Head after a heavy nights drinking session with the boys! :lol :lol
