I got the same one ...... ordered within minutes of it going to waitlist. And I gota say I am kinda pissed, Over the last 3 years of me collecting I have spent over $12000-16000 on SSC stuff. The fact that from what I have read , there is a good number of first time buyers that got the EX many of which are flippers no doubt is VERY VERY irritating. I don't know what would fix the problem because having it reserved for members would be BS but maybe have something like PCS saying the statue will go live at 1500 hours on this day. I work 40-60 hours a week .... I love the hobby but do not have time to check the SS website every 10 minutes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I really wanted it for the EX head .... the reg is meh IMO. I will probably still purchase it but with how poorly this was handled I am very very salty towards SS right now.

Plus, I would never spend $1200 on a statue I thought was "meh" just sayin'

I'm not saying all people who bought it are flipping. If 50-100 people made a separate account to flip that sucks. The email was sent to me 2 mins before I waitlisted it .... emails go out in waves so not entirely fair was my point earliest emails went out at 1510 hours. I got mine at 1520.. Not sure why you took my statement as people don't work ... would be easier saying this statue will go for sale as this time was my point. Would stop people with multiple accounts from securing statues to resell. I also work as an LEO so I cannot dedicate days and hours to refresh sideshows website but I do have email alerts on. Let's agree if collectors that wanted it didn't get it do to scampers/flippers .... 1 flipper is too many. And judging from the 17 thanos ex preorders that were on eBay it's a fact many people preordered with the one purpose of reselling.

And ink that gif is incredible.

Ebro the non ex head is meh ...... compared to the ex read the whole sentence....The overall statue is phenomenal but to pay $1200 then 200-500 on custom heads sucks.

Everyone knew it was going up between 12pm and 3pm pacific so if you wanted it you needed to refresh or follow this sub or any of the number of statue Facebook groups. My emails are sent out late too.

Usually everything goes up at 12 PST on Thursday, this when up later than usual because Sideshow was switching the site over

I'm all for the ex being valuable but mines will be kept sealed and protected in my room, i'll display the reg since I got two from the comic store by my place. For me since I missed doom pf, this is the next major throne statue ssc has put out, and magneto might not even be that good, so I'm just going to sell the reg in the future if I decide to even sell them, if not then it's all good, maybe just maybe decide to give the second reg away down the road instead of selling them to a friend as gift.

What is the point of buying a statue and never opening it? If any statue is going to ship broken I would hope it's one of those that people buy to leave in the box.

I feel for people that really wanted this but didn't get it. I think people have been getting used to waiting before ordering. Unlike the old days when you had to sit and refresh.

He did say he got both EX and REG and will be displaying the REG version. Everyone has different ways of collecting. Others want it displayed open, others enclosed in glass, others put personal touches on their statue, others keep in box sealed and others buy 2, one for display and one for safe keeping. At least he didn't buy 2 just to flip it as soon as it comes out.

I agree this Thanos is a masterpiece and should be seen and displayed but if anyone wants it kept sealed is probably just fine with knowing they own one. Kudos to those who have the extra money to display one and keep one sealed.

I can tell reading comprehension is not your forte ....... I said there should be another way of just randomly tossing out Pre-Order times. Set a time so people who want the statue at least have a CHANCE at buying it. And if you are not mad that forum members 7 of that I know ordered within 15 minutes of it going live did not get a EX but there have been over 17 up for resale from various sellers on eBay. Meaning FLIPPERS got the statues before people whom want them for their collection. If you think this is ok .... you are just WRONG. That was my point. As I stated earlier I am a LEO and when working IF I am in my office which I probably am not, I cannot sit an refresh SS from noon until 4-5pm in most cases. Never said I was entitled ....you are just assuming because I stated how much I have spent on statues and you immediately formed an opinion that I am a rich entitled whiner. So by your comment .... I can either spend $2000-3000 for an EX on eBay or buy the reg for $1200 with the head I DONT like , and spend $200-500 on a aftermarket Head sculpt. And Because I am salty I did not get a PO of the EX and now am looking at spending 40-250% more on the same statue I am a self entitled whiner.... great logic there buddy.

In looking at many of your forum posts I see who I am dealing with..... more than 50% of your comments are talking crap to or about people. Majority of your posts are negative towards others or trying to put people/statues down etc ......you might want to see someone about your negativity issues.

Probably SS knew that if they put an exact time that their site will not be able to handle the traffic and cause their servers to crash. That will be a nightmare for them, we may not like how it was handled but I am sure SS had a valid reason why they took this route.

Feels alot better than getting an email, clicking the link and seeing sold out but you can wait list within 2mins of getting the email. I empathize with your experience 100%. Sideshow sent that email to me well after the EX was waitlisted as well. Like you my job doesn't allow me to constantly monitor my phone as much as I please. Luckily the stars aligned for me on preorder day to where I happened to be in a position where I could be on my phone repeatedly refreshing the SSC site and the forums at the appropriate time.

So I was able to secure an EX totally by chance. If I had missed it I can tell you I would personally not buy a reg or "collectors" version because the EX portrait is too important to the character for me not to have it. On top of that it's still TBD ES and still costs just as much as the EX so there is absolutely no rush in purchasing the reg at this time.

Lots of whining and salt being thrown around here. Times are usually the same, no one had the exact time but were ready and waiting for the page to go live. The dedicated people got to order it and those that waited missed it. People throwing shade at Sideshow because it's their fault your jobs don't allow you to order is just sad. This time, the EX is actually exclusive.
