But what is it that makes the rudeness uncivil? It's the fact that Sideshow would never respond in kind to heckling. They can't. So the heckler receives the benefits of his smears, while Sideshow must reconcile itself to an indefensible position. It's a double standard where he can take all the cheap shots he wants and he suffers zero risk.

Were the critic polite (and fair), they would be free to respond as equals. Civility achieved.

The stupid ones can atleast be given credit for having the courage of their convictions.

 It's considered "courage" if they're just jumping aboard the douchemobile together to throw fruit? I'm willing to bet that if some of the bigger flamers here a) actually had product to complain about and b) actually called SS's CS, they wouldn't have the same tone when speaking to a rep. This forum gives them a good platform to be anonymously:

Sounds like overreacting to me. If the mark II's paint starts flaking, then the issues would be same.

He is saying that it has the same issues the Mark 3 had which included scratched paint, uneven surface texture, bad paint ap

The newer version from last year. The paint from the cylinder is just flaking off by itself. The Samaritan has been stored in a stable environment away from sunlight.

Can you provide some pics. This has me concerned that another item is surfacing... potentially.

I'm out! Too many problems lately for high priced high end Sideshow items. I'm sending my PL diorama back and know I wont be refunded the $20 shipping charge. I just can't take these chances with my money. While none of my pieces currently have any flaking, I'll just have to keep an eye out during the next year and see what everyone else's experience is.

Of course, I'm not going to cancel my Aliens maquette. I'll just hold my breath that it arrives in top condition and stays that way.

My hard earned cash can be awarded to other companies with better quality control and painting techniques. :(

It seems it's a very limited occurrence, only in a very small number for certain pieces. Saying you're "out" when you don't have any occurrences yourself is kind of like saying that you'll never drive a car again because you know this one guy that one time got hit by a train.
