The good news for international customers (and those Stateside) is as long as the item is defective you either a) don't have to pay the return shipping or b) you get to destroy the item for a replacement.

I don't know what happens on the VAT though.

Ugh....more and more stories funneling out makes me really worried about the big ticket stuff on the horizon.

Can't believe ur guy's Black Darkness is flaking too! Good grief...that's beyond ridiculous.

The same piece, different colors--twice?!! That can't be a coincidence....

I'm waiting now until there hasn't been any issues at all for a few months.
1 custom lost... for now.

Its much harder to get replacements , refunds in the UK if you buy from sites other than sideshow.. ecspecially if the problem shows its head a few months after buying the item.

Hot toys are the only ones I'll buy from from now on.
I hope nothing happens to my 1:1 Arnold bust. Id be devestated.

Now that SideShow closed the EU warehouse to save money, they can put more emphasis in the paint app.

Nothing on the newsletter nor Ask Sideshow Answers this week.

What's a shame is that the thing is in China. I would buy it, the damage really isn't that bad.

This piece wouldn't worry me a bit; it has been out for a few years now, long before the paint issues began.

Someone just posted this in another thread about the Terminator fine art print:

It's a very nice piece but the metallic paint in the one we had start to flake around the frame!! on the top and bottom, ...no biggie since it can be repaired with easy and buyer didn't mind!!,...It's an awesome piece that will only go up in price me thinks!!!!!,..

Between that and the Drac bust, I hope the older stuff won't start flaking just as much as the new stuff.

If anyone expects an answer, you gotta at least fake being nice....based on the tone in this thread, dont expect a response. At least, not on these forums.

This thread has turned into (literal) name calling.......
