As far as I know you only get the price when they become available for purchase
Its part of a tactic (eg everyone one is keen to get an exclusive so when they go on sale at a specific time of day everyone usually has to make a 30 - 120 second decision on whether to purchase, otherwise they run the risk of the exclusives being completely sold out)
Unfortunately desire and a 30 - 120 second decision making process usually goes in favour of a purchase.
Thats why they add the cancel part to your sideshow account
So my suggestion is order it even if its $150
then take longer to decide whether to cancel
and if you dont get on the exclusives as soon as they go up get on the waitlist
I'm just not sure about this two pack. If it would have been Palpatine the senator and Emperor Palpatine from ROTJ then that would have been perfect. You could have two exclusives Senator Palpatine could have had deformed portrait head and ROTJ emperor could have had throne. That would have been perfect for me. I'm not saying that I won't preorder these cause I'm a completist but I think the exclusive item is garbage. A sith statue that barely made any time in the movie. The sculpts are dead on though. Oh well hopefully the ROTJ Emperor will come with exclusive throne.

I'm a little surprised that people seem to want the deformed Sideous rather than the Palpatine. I'm completely the other way around and might consider splitting the set.
IMO Hasbro's version isn't that bad.
These figures look great, but add me to the list of those a little disappointed with the exclusive. The statue should have been 6" tall.

I think thats what I may do. Se if anyone wants Sidius only and will split the cost with me. I want to wait for a true ROTJ Emperor.

I love these figures, especially the short body. The head and left hand is still big but anyone that comes to my house and points out inaccuracies on mytoys gets kicked out anyway. Since the exclusive is sort of meh, I think I'll go the secondary retailer route.
I'd buy both as a two pack just as long as they look like that comming out of the box and not some half assed version,as is common with the SS 12" line.Oh.. and it might just be me but it looks like SS put a thicker wire in the hood of palps robe,like the one's Medicom uses in theirs.

Unfortunately cost is against me on purchasing this and a few other reasons
1. Cost (Im skint)
2. Cant quite see the need to own 2 versions of the same character
3. Not that interetested in Senator Palapatine as a figure (when I feel there are better 1 off characters)
4. Just won a hasbro Emperor and a SS Maul on ebay (so intend to create a custom using them)
5. The only reason Id want a complete SS Emperor not a custom would be the exclusive and this isnt worth having

So with my reward points I shouldn't have to shell out a dime from my paycheck or anything. Just deposit the money when SS is ready to charge credit cards and FAZOOOM! He is mine.

I wouldn't use points on this set if you're only covering partial cost because you won't earn points on the purchase.
I think its wisest to use points when it fully pays off an item.
I don't care what the price is, I'm all over this set, the Sidious head sculpt alone is worth the total cost of this package to me, it's astonishing in quality, I'm thrilled. I'm actually even contemplating ordering 2 sets so I can have a Sidious in the red senatorial suit post Mace duel, that way I could have 2 display setups, one with Mace and Sidious and one with Anakin and Palpatine.
You have a good point. I might just keep saving money (by then I'd prolly have enough) and use the points on vader (by then I should have a REALLY healthy amount of points).
Those are great ideas, though I don't think I would want so many variations of the same character. But cool, nevertheless.
We definitely need a Yoda now.
