Standard procedure for any multipack is to give a slight discount. Two packs are usually a few dollars cheaper than buying two seperate figures. Even the GI Joe 25th Anniversary Box sets are selling the figures at a $5 a piece price, when some stores are selling the singles for $6.

Therefore, I'm expecting $120 or lower. Could it be more, sure, but a true two-pack usually ends up cheaper than two seperate figures, even if the outfits are more ornate they have very few acceessories between the two of them.

Right its not like the Endor troops who were a bundle, not really the same thing.

Looks good to me, 2 different lighsaber, 8 hands, sith holocron and senate cam droid. Looks like its going to be a sweet 2-pack i'll be getting.

How different would the ROTJ Emperor be from Sidious? More wrinkles and a different robe, plus a cane and (hopefully) his throne?

It's hard to say when the lighting in ROTS and ROTJ were so different, but it seemed like the makeup in ROTS made his eye sockets seema little deeper then ROTJ. One big difference is McDiarmid was young when ROTJ was made so his face was a little less full than 20 years later for ROTS, so the HS might reflect that as well. Another difference they could incorporate is how in ROTJ, much of the time the Emperor had a slight smirk over his impending victory over the Rebels, and a talented sculptor can subtly work that in without actually having a happy smile on his face. Depending too, the red tones around his eyes in ROTS looked darker a lot of times than in Jedi, so that's something else they could do.

Even if they used this same head over, just to have him in his black Sith robe as he should be would be worth buying the same figure over again, which it would almost be.

Hey MaulFan, I bet you will be able to do some sweet photos with SS's Sidious and Medi's Maul.I know Sidious wasn't "deformed" during TPM,but it would still be awesome.Come on and wip together some Sith Lord action.:D

Looks good. Kinda sad I got out of the 12 inch line. Sideshow please do a ROTJ Emperor PF. Please.

The red senate suit, to me, is more intricaltely layered and patterned like the quality we've seen in the LOTR line, in my mind anyway, these look like the 2 most involving costumes in the Star Wars line. I don't know how easily accessible it is, but there is also the fur on the the Sidious costume, which may take more to pull off without being toyish. I don't think it's light years past a standard Jedi costume, I just think enough to pad the final cost by a few more dollars.

I have to disagree. Both of these costumes look much easier than say Anakin, ANH Obi-Wan, Assaj and Booush.

The Sideous is one of the simplest costumes thus far.

Anyone wanting a Yoda could do a lot worse than picking up the Hasbro SAGA Yoda.

I have one with my Jedi and it looks really good.

Looks wise, that Yoda is great, to me the only major flaw with it is the limited articulation combined with the positions his arms are in, but the HS is great and surprisingly, the little hairs even look decent.

As for Maul with deformed Sidious, that's inevitable, but it'll be with SSC Maul, and Asajj will be worked in to do some SSC Lords of the Sith images.

Well this set looks amazing. Palpy looks pretty good, as we knew from the teaser picture. However, Sidious has far exceeded my expectations. The teaser pic had me a little worried but the headsculpt is absolutely fantastic. Right up there with Old Ben. I'm really psyched for this set now.
The abscence of force lightening doesnt bother me and I'm pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of the senate cam, just need a photo now.
As for the price. I cant believe people are expecting this to be £150. The accessories are good, but nothing exceptional. Old Ben has the training remote and he was $60. Since its 2 figures in the same package it should be a maximum of $120. I'm expecting $114.99.
The exclusive is a bit meh, so I wont be getting that, but I'll definately be getting the regular. I cant wait. Ive already planned on how to display them.
Palpatine with Ventress, Maul and eventually Dooku on Sith shelf number 1 and then Vaderkin with Sidious and 2 repainted Medicom clones (501st and Shock) on shelf number 2. Just need to get someone to repaint 2 clones!!!!

That reminds me, is McDiarmid the only actor who has played a YOUNGER version of a character 20 years later?

OOOOh, good question. I think you might be right.

Here's some trivia...I think that the character of Vito Corleone is the only character that was portrayed by two different actors to win an Oscar for Best and Supporting Actor.

Interestingly, it worked out for him since his true age was just right for his younger self.

Speaking of his older face, I always liked idea that the deformed face would be his true self and that Palpatine's face would be a sort of Sith guise, it would have shown a great mental strength to maintain that and would have made Palpatine come off even stronger.

Ditto on that thought. I like the idea that the powers of the darkside wreaked havoc on his physical body which made the deformed face his true self.
