I'd rather just get the red robe Palps only. I don't really care for the goofiness that ensued after the transformation. I hope there are some sellers that break them up.

I believe there were a couple posts earlier in this thread about people only wanting Sidius, so I don't think you'll have a problem finding someone who will split the set with you.

I want em both. They're both great figures, Palpatine a nice portrait and beautiful costume, Sidious an immaculate sculpt and nice costume, so much fun to be had :D I think these film stills will come out more impressive than Old Ben.

When Wormy Luke was announced, I was very close to canceling these. Whew that was close! I am sick with Sids and am having heart Palpitinations after seeing those touch-ups. WOW!

Man can I spot a repaint, or can I spot a repaint :lol

But like I said ealier, even in the first shots you can see a solid paint job. And usually in hand they look even better. I'm very stoked for these!

I just love Sidious' eyes, they did it perfectly, the subtle blended pink around the eye sockets, the vibrant yellow and red of his Sith eyes. I hoped so much those details would survive on him in production and they have. And better yet, they both seem to be minus the ever so subtle shine that Ben had, even better.

These are the stills I'm looking forward to replicating the most :D I can't tell you how excited I am :D

For the first couple weeks of display I may switch their clothes (deformed Palps in red and Normal Palps in the darker robes).

I noticed something important that I think has been overlooked. These look great from production and everyone's been all over the clothing quality and sculpt and paint quality, but one detail forgotten from gripes and corrected by Sideshow is the undershirt's texture. They made it like the movie. Like any baseball player, not every Sideshow swing is a homerun sure, but I don't know how anyone can think they don't give each swing their best effort when they listen to our comments and do things like this. They could have left the material, it worked, but they fixed it and now it works and is more accurrate. Bravo guys, bravo :clap

I have to say even the clothes look really close to the prototype... the crushed velvet in Palps looks a little different (although that could be due to lighting), but overall a great job!

That should make those of you who are splitting it with someone else happy. :rock

Speaking of which, is anyone here looking to keep Palpatine and unload Sidious? If so, please PM me as I'd really like to work out a deal with someone for the Sidious figure.
