Great Job on his eyes Nathan. Very realistic in color.

Thanks for the eye compliments, guys. I take a lot of pride in eyes. They used to intimidate the hell out of me for the very reasons you mentioned, but having done so many heads now, I think I've got it down. One big help came in the form of a tip from Sideshow's lead painter who said he uses Micron Markers to do the pupils. Perfect dots every time. Now the only hard part is getting the eye shape right, but it gets easier each time. My brushes just seem to remember what to do now.

Thats interesting Nathan. I tried the micron pens early on and they never seemed to dry right. I use just a standard brush for mine. Is there an actual marker or are you using the pens?

Yeah, I'm using the pens, but I'm also spray sealing the heads regularly between coats and details so I can "erase" later mistakes if I make any. The seal locks the ink on the eye. I use a lot of gloss on the eyes at the end as well to give them that glassy dome look.

Do you use the .2mm? I might pick some up (Sakura brand right?).

My Predator maquette head is in extremely capable hands.

I'm sure I'll be sending more stuff to you as well Surfer! Keep up the good work.

Speaking of repairs and sculpting replacement parts, it looks like Hot Toys quality control missed this T-600 gloved left hand the day it got packaged without a thumb.

A freak sent it to me for a new thumb. I was just going to recast the thumb on the other hand, but figured it would be faster, not easier, but more fun to just sculpt a new one. So, here's what I did with it.

And here it is finished. Not only did I have to paint it to match the color of the glove, but I also matched the paint style and heaviness of the paint of the glove it was on. The other glove was a little darker/dirtier, whereas the one I worked on had a bit more of the leather color on it.

Nathan, your a painting, sculpting, repairing machinge. I'm going to have to get your advise on some stuff I'm planning on repairing. You did an outstanding job on Wonder Woman. I didn't realize how bad the arm was until you posted those pics of the arm broken clean off (I couldn't even tell from how well you had finished the repair and painted her).

I see you've been busy! Nice work on those heads you painted and I really liked that you went the extra mile with that Terminator!

:exactly:

Thanks die.

Can you fly and teleport also?

Yes. Yes, I can. I just thought it might come off as cocky bragging to mention it here. I talk all about it on the Flying and Teleporting Forum though.

Advice is free. Hit me up.

SilentSurfer, please let me know, is there a hope to see the Predator 2 repaint this summer or it's still too many work before it?

I have a Wolverine hair resculpt and bone claws to finish right now, and then I'm painting your P2 body. The wait is almost over.
