Best eyes I've ever seen.

And an Old Indy as well.

There's Indy! Man, you really brought out the likeness there. The hair in those pics looks less gray than I'd think, but then again, cameras can play tricks. What camera do you use for those macro shots? The stubble around the mouth and the teeth are amazing! Another home run by combining your talents on top of Trev's!

The eyes are unbelievable! How do you make the circles so perfect?

I'm glad you like it. I think Josh deserves more credit on this one than I do though.

Thanks. I'm not sure what I've done so far that will be at SDCC, but word is I might have plenty coming my way for SDCC between now and then.

Here's another private commission for you to gander at.

I love this sculpt, and finally I got to paint one. Nice.:yess:

Thanks guys. I probably spend the most time of the whole paint process doing the eyes right. It takes tiny burshes, and practiced steady hand, and the will to not stop until they're at least 99% perfectly shaped. Freaks always compliment my eye work, so I never want to disappoint.

Yeah, it's mostly lighting making the hair look dark. You can see the most gray in this shot, but, yes, the hair looks grayer in person. I use a crappy old HP camera that I have only through experience been able to manipulate to take as good a pics as I do. I would sure love a better camera.

And the Indy's just keep on coming. I got this one after posting the other two Raiders Indy's. This one may actually be my favorite of the three.

I painted this one with the Old Indy and Marion.

Best Indy I've seen. It looks like you took a photo of Ford himself.

Absolutely stunning Nathan :thud:

Best Indy I have ever seen also

I resized the pics to see what they would look like at 1/6th scale and damn! How do you manage to paint all those details ? My eyes would squint to the point of being closed ! :lol

How do you manage to achieve such a flawless clean finish ? What brand of paint do you use ? When did you sell your soul to get this insane talent ? :lol Seriously I'm in awe at your skills. I love coming back into here to see what you've been working on.

Truly amazing, as always! Love seeing what you're up to....and you always make me look much better than I am, so thank you for that too!

And that Marion! WOW!
Trev

I could not have said it better, Marf. It takes an excellent sculpt to make my paint technique pay off. I have had the pleasure of painting many of Trevor's, and I never get tired of witnessing the marriage of sculpt and paint. Always amazing. :clap

Ohhh I didn't come here a couple of days and BOOOOOOM!
Lawrence, several different Indys, Marion...

You are very cruel man, Nathan!
Why, WHY do you cut those people heads, dried them and pass off as your own 1/6 paint work?
Now I'm scared as __k :(

P.S. you guys are awesome, keep'em comin

You gave away my secret!

Thanks. The devil and I are still working out the details.:devil

It's not always easy to see such tiny detail like the eyes when I'm working on these. Sometimes I have to just trust my hand to put the brush in the right place. Time and practice have trained me to feel the brushes and airbrush like they are my own finger tips and trust them to put paint where I want it.

I mostly use ComArt paints made for Iwata airbrushes, but the paint alone isn't the trick; it just makes the trick easier to pull off. The real trick to paint just like me is:monkey1
