Hi Nathan, thanks for getting back to me. I didnt know the 1/6 expo wasnt that big, from the adverts and stuff i thought it was this huge convention. Yeah about the part 3 jason, im glad im not the only one who recognises these tiny details either lol Yeah i noticed that on your mask, looks great. Wickid that you have gone to the trouble to sort out the eye hole size and shape, and trimmed down the mask, im sure its gonna look awesome and movie accurate, cos sideshow mask completely covered jasons whole head, you couldnt see his ears or top section of his head. Super excited though Nathan!
Ive always been really happy with the part 4 version, i think its sideshows best jason, especially the mask. Hopefully one day you might perfect the other jasons mask, a perfected part 7 mask by you would be amazing lol Sorry to keep kissing your ass lol but you have totally made my figure collection awesome since ive met you. When people come over mine your freddy and michael myers stick out so much compared to my hot toys and sideshows!

Adam.
ps, Would it be possible to get your new address so Scott could ship the clint heads?
Thanks

He did. But if you find a shirt with double pockets and shorten it, dye it, and fold it up under with some fabric tac you can make one yourself :wink1: (sorry for posting my own pic in this thread, so not worthy, but is only to illustrate).

I like that mask. Where did you get it from?

I had the pleasure of another exciting visit to Sideshow today, and saw some of the most amazing stuff, lots of which will be at SDCC next month. I had no idea so much great swag was ready to roll. The best news of all for me was that as many as 7 different podiums at the Sideshow booth this year will feature some of my work.:yess: What you've seen from me for Sideshow so far is the tip of the iceberg compared to what's about to be unveiled. It doesn't grieve me at all to say that the bounty of work I've put into things to be revealed at SDCC '11 has been a battle, but it has all been a pleasure.

And with some other great news I got today came the assurance that I will be helping Sideshow to bring you all lots and lots of unbelievable, unexpected badassery in the year between SDCC '11 and SDCC '12. And I mean totally unexpected.

Hol-Lee-Crap! I can't wait for SDCC Nathan! I know they hinted at those guys in a recent Q/A but I'm glad to hear they will be there. I can't wait to see them in person (and more of your work of course)! :drool

Did you do any work on any of the above mentioned?

Finally someone's making a figure of my favourite comic character of all time: Professor Grievello Bountybattle! :yess:

Great news Nathan! I'm just trying to figure out the battle one... Lol

Galactica?

Battle droid?

OMG, how'd you guess that? Sideshow's gonna kill me for giving that up before SDCC. That was supposed to be their big new line announcement of the year. Damn it!

Mission "Get Marf Pumped": Accomplished

I seem to be a master at that.:lol

The 1/6 Xpo was cool, but it wasn't nearly as big as it sounded. It wasn't like Toyfair just for 1/6. It was just a section of an already cool indoor swapmeet of collectibles.

To me and many, it was as big as it sounded. For being the first, well organized, 1/6 show in Los Angeles, it was a real success for both the fans and dealers as far as I know. People had a good time by meeting other collectors and fellow Sideshow freaks, talking about the hobby, buying figures and parts and participating/watching the contests. Big props to Rolando and Bobby for organizing it. I know the big efforts they went through to put it together and many of us are grateful for that.

Frank & Sons a swapmeet? You make it sound like an indoor yard sale where crap is sold/traded. You know it's much more than that, Nathan.

For everyone's info: I have nothing to do with the 1/6 Xpo's organization or Frank & Son's Collectibles Show. I'm just a collector who loves the hobby and wants to see more of these shows happen.

Beto does make some cool stuff. His wife is an amazing seamstress. I finally met them both at 1/6 Xpo. Very nice, but limited English.

That's a very f'**d up comment. I don't need to explain why. If you can't see it, then I got nothing else to say.

Very disappointed in your words.

I took that sentence as he met Beto, he thought he was a cool guy, but wasn't able to converse much with him. :dunno

Hi, Ed, guess you wandered into my thread while you were having a bad day, huh? I meant no disrespect to 1/6 Xpo or Bobby and Rolando. They did an amazing job organizing that, and it was fun, especially as you say to meet fellow Freaks and other collectors. No doubt. I just meant to clarify that it wasn't a convention like some who couldn't attend may have thought. It was a very cool special event at an already cool place.

Apparently 'swapmeet' is a derogatory term for you, but it isn't for me. You might look down on them, whereas I don't, but yes, to me, Frank and Sons is an indoor swapmeet. Lots of independent venders have regular spots for their booths to sell certain types of things, ie, comics, 1/6 figures, disneyana, anime, bootleg DVDs, trading cards, sports stuff, posters, etc. It's only open twice a week and it aint a mall, so that tells me it's a swapmeet. Just happens to be the best swapmeet in the world.

I hope you're not trying to make a race thing out of this because most of my friends are hispanic, and my wife is Japanese. That English is Beto's second language and that his wife seemed to speak hardly any is not a insult; it's a fact. As nice as any people I've met though.

Since this thread is all about me, I'll let you guys in on a little something I've observed in my 37 years in the world. Racism is dead where I live. The only ones keeping it alive are those who still want to be victims of it to have something to complain about. The world is as you see it.

I live in Southern Califormia. Everywhere I go, every job I've had, there has been a fine mix of all heritages. I don't see race anymore. I just see interesting people with heritage from different parts of the same world I live on. I don't feel the need to call myself a European American because that just identifies me as a certain TYPE of person. That's BS. I'm just an American, and only so because I live here. So what. We're all the same when we take time to get to know each other. The only time I see race is when somebody throws it in my face. You want me to see you as a Mexican, or an Asian, or a black guy, go ahead and remind me that you're an African American or whatever label you want to wear, but until you do, I just see another guy who might like the same resturant I do, or the same movies I do, or who collects the same figures I do.

And if you come from another country and don't speak my langauge, that's no more wrong than me going to Mexico without having aced two semesters of Spanish in College.

Get over yourselves. If you're offended by anything I've said, it's because you chose to be offended, not because I offended you.

Or maybe it was the way you read it. Think about the words and the meaning you are giving them. Deckard and wofford read it the way I wrote it.
