Looks like he is doing ballet... disappointed. Wierd pose and all the different hands and heads don't help. One of my favorite characters. Sticking with Bowen on the SS. Sideshow should have done the poster pose from Rise of the Silver Surfer, even though the movie was weak.

I dont know what everyone is talking about....I actually think this looks pretty cool. I dont own any marvel pieces...but I ordered this one. I've always liked silver surfer...I thought he was the coolest character in the movie even though it sucked the bag.

exactley i think this looks great and the bowen piece in comparison makes for a good book end imo. (so tiny no comparison!)
The pose on this sculpt is different. That does make it rather unique. However, the 3 head sculpts are just flat out bad. I'm not a big Cipriano fan. Didn't like the Abomination PF face. Also the Namor comiquette face is horrible IMHO. A bad face just kills a sculpt for me. I wanted to love this SS Silver Surfer in the worst way. After looking at the gallery pics of his heads.....I DON'T! It's the forehead. It looks all wrong. I love this character but I'm pretty sure I'll cancel the EX I ordered. I'll make due with my Bowen Surfers. They are perfect. Would have loved to own this character in 1/4 scale though.

i like it and will be getting it, but i can see alot of people cancelling this one when it's time to ship. there's just to many things people can find wrong with this one for reasons to cancel..
not chrome, forehead, base, pose, wave hands etc. etc. etc.
personally i think it looks good, maybe not great but it's 1/4 scale and it's so hard to get it perfect imo.

True, Namor's face is just butt ugly and I wished it looked better but I bought it because I wanted a Namor at 1/4 scale. The Abomination face is suppossed to be ugly but this one looks like a giant gremlin from the movie Gremlins which I could excuse. The price tag from Abomination scared me away and Sideshow could have sold it out months ago. The Surfer has a pose that I do not like and the faces they offer are not great. I did order this but I'm on the fence as to whether I want to keep it. If the price was lower I could better except the ugly pose but I just keep thinking this should have had a similar pose Bowen's Surfer used but bigger in size. Oh well.

i don't have a problem with most of the points that i brought up, just quoting areas that everyone else has brought up as reasons why some people will probably be cancelling.
if i had to possibly agree with one point, it would be that i'm not a huge fan of the face sculpt. other than that i'm happy with everything else about the piece.

i have been reading all my old silver surfer since this has been announced..gets me more excited for it with every issue, I agree with bishop that the pose looks great and the facial sculpt is much superior to namor(which i did find very subpar)

People who don't like this pose are on crack. This is a classic Surfer pose that perfectly captures the character IMO.
I agree with this...I dont understand why people are complaining about this piece. I think under the right lighting this will look pretty cool.
