its the hype by true collectors who wants to get 2k $ when they can sell it a couple of years down

for me like gagaliya said a Rhino Ex is a must , but if ur just interested in the statue and not the hype and value factor u can settle for the reg Skaar, BTW i am not getting both, rhino or skaar , ex or reg, just doesnt fit my collection.,though i could have ordered both.
but if waitlist for skaar opens ill get on it because i feel im a true collector who wants the ex so i can flip it 2 years for 2k, hype it up , true collectors

i have nothing against paying high price for a piece (paid $2.2k for optimus, $1k for sano alien, $700 for attakus vader 1, $700 for palisade devastator etc..). , But the price needs to be put into context & justified.

Lets see paying $400 extra for a $400 in stock retail so the exact same statue can hold an axe instead of a sword...no thanks. The axe isnt anything special either or famously referenced in the comics...

Very good point. It's not like the Axe just screams Skaar. If the EX on this piece was nothing more than a print, it would still be sold out. It just looks that good.

Looking at these EX on eBay is just plain crazy and it hasn't even shipped yet and they are selling for $600 - $750...

I don't believe that for a second. before the Bucky Cap PFs were shipped, the regular versions were showing up in completed listings for $450-550. I'm certain all of them were shills to artificially inflate the selling price once the item arrived in hand. No doubt that is happening here as well.

Man, I remember when the EX Wolverine PF was shill bidding for $1000. Now you can get him for half that. We are begining to see more of this. This is why I say if you missed out on a sold out piece, it would be in a buyers best interest to wait a little while before they purchase it on the bay. When a few of these go up at the same time, it gives you more options. It will be interesting to see what the average selling price of this statue will be the first month or two it's out. That will be a more legit gage as to the value of the piece because impatient peeps with money will be far less of a factor.

It's too bad though that his Diorama are kind of lack luster? I don't know why his 1:4 statue are so epic and the Diorama not so much.

Heehee I'd love to get a doom PF for Skaar but I'm already saving for the LSF he's my all time favorite villain. But I do like spidey comiquette... Wink wink nudge nudge.

Sword the way to display him , just to add to these great points
If the axe was a key part of skaar , how come the print is based
On him holding the sword not the AXE , that should tell you something.

Yeah I have a running spread sheet of all the Darth Talons and their numbers that are allegedly sold on ebay. I have contacted more than a few sellers asking them why they have re-listed their statue 4-5 times.

I know Ill get a DT and Gambit at some point and it won't be for quadruple retail.

Your a smart man. Don't fall for any scams on the bay.

There is no doubt in my mind that a Skaar EX will cost anyone above retail. However, any collector who spends a $1000 on the bay for him now, deserves to be separated from their money. Skaar will go for less on the bay with legit bids when he is released.

No sour grapes on my part. I have the EX coming. I think the axe looks cool but it is not a needed accessory for this character. He'll still look good displayed with just both swords IMO.
