Repaint but yes, I kept the whites of his eyes but everything else was painted. The eye brows, skin tone and iris color change from brown to green w/ a redot of the pupil.
Just glossed the eyes tonight, it's my only progress tonight so far
Time to sculpt the fangs

Sloppyness on the sides of the face but I figured that would be fixed with the overal gold paint of the helmet. I definitely wanted the finish on the skin to be smooth even if I went outside the bounds
I can't decide if I should go full gold for the Cobra helmet or do the outlining of the yellow like he had in the cartoon and OG figure from Hasbro

Looks great so far and he's only gonna get get better!
Why not a gold for the head and a yellowgold (metallic yellow) for the "lips"? Very curious to see if you apply a wash to this as well.

Just take it easy on the wash. Too much of a dark color would just make his suit look old and weathered. That's fine on some Joes, but Serpentor seems like the guy that would polish his suit daily, or at least he'd command someone to do it

I think a two-tone gold would look good. Bright gold for the lip area and chest and an Ancient gold for the rest. The two colors have a distinctly different look, yet are still a good gold color.
