Skyfall (aka Bond 23)

The press conference for the 23rd James Bond movie has been announced for next month.

There are rumors it will be titled Skyfall as Sony has taken out a number of Internet copywrites with this combination of James Bond and movie.

It is set to begin shooting next month at Pinewood and continue through June. All of this is via the MI6 website.

I am really excited to see Daniel Craig return in his third Bond flick. He is apparently as excited about this script as he was for Casino Royale and Sam Mendes has said they are wanting to make a "classic Bond film."

Next year is gonna be amazing!

I hope its better than QoS. I know Moneypenny is back, so I hope they bring back some other classic Bond elements as well.

BOND 23 is BOND 23 no longer. The Sam Mendes-helmed, Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, Judi Dench (that cast gets more impressive every day) Bond film will be titled SKYFALL. Says Mendes, "SKYFALL is its own story. It doesn't connect with the first two films."

Although I felt QUANTUM OF SOLACE was a weak entry into the Bond series, I like where it left Bond at the end, and getting blasphemous here, but Daniel Craig's my favorite Bond. Yeah, even over Connery. He brings something primal and razor-sharp to Bond, and out of all the actors who have played the role, I think he may be the closest to what Ian Fleming intended. The offical synopsis of the plot reads, "Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost." Hope SKYFALL delivers!

M's character has been so well written in the last two films it's difficult to watch Dench in the previous Brosnan films.

I thought Rachel Weisz was going to be in this one. (edit: nevermind. Looks like her husband Daniel Craig put a bun in the oven. Baby bumps and Bond girls don't mix)
