Bought QOS BR today for $8.00.

Stopped watching when Bond arrives with Mathis in Bolivia, put my son to sleep and I didn't want to watch w/o the 5.1, so tomorrow I finish.

So far so good, the kinetic energy on display is furious and the acting superb, i'm actually enjoying QOS.

I watched Skyfall two days ago. Now my wife is watching Live and Let Die on cable. God I hate the f-cking Roger Moore films. They were bad enough before, but after the DC films there's now going back to the RM titles.

This movie is such a racist piece of sh-t. I almost expect Rudy Ray Moore as Dolemite to appear.

QoS isn't bad. It just has ****ty action, a dull plot, and doesn't progress the new series enough.

But what it does do right, is progress the character of Bond. It doesn't give him the tropes he deserves, but his character grows, and Craig does a good job with it.

And I liked the Olga girl in this one. She had an interesting character arc.


But the action is seriously ****ty. Bourne ****ty.

No it isn't.

It's the 70's, it's a blacksplotation film. Just with a white dude starring in it.

Compared to Golden Gun, it's tame. And the villain was changed from a (according to people who read the books) dumb stereotype to a rather intelligent villain.

I love Live and Let Die. It's one of the few really good Moore flicks. The only thing that I don't like is the last fight scene. And Kanga's death.

The only thing I really liked about Quantum of Solace was the girl that got covered in oil and that's all I got to say about that.
