Perfect addition to the Bond franchise

Getting a bit bored of the nitpicking nature of Internet movie fans (let's face it, that's all it is; the Internet movie community. Word of mouth acclaim for this movie from the general public has almost been universal)

I don't know what Honest Trailers is, so....

I got why he was shot, it's just surprising that he survived all of that AND M seemed to know he was alive in retirement. And why he felt betrayed. So he got shot in (almost) the same place by both the French dude and Moneypenny? I thought it was the other side for some reason. So the fragments were from the French guy's gun, since that's how they connected it to him. I was wondering why everyone was only focusing on his right shoulder. I thought the scar Silva touched was the same one that Bond sliced open....so you're saying it isn't?

And no, the ice part was just a dumb move imo



You can clearly see the the ground on both sides of the lake when he first steps on it. And when Silva was standing there, on land, with his gun pointed at Bond, it wasn't far at all..and Silva was basically a straight distance to the chapel after he turned away from Bond to fell through the ice.

For as much time as Bond had to take to stop running and see how thin the ice was before finally stepping on it, he easily could have been sprinting full speed safely on dirt and grass. For someone who is as aware as 007, I found it a bit dimwitted when just about anybody else would go to the left or the right and get there at the same time, if not faster.

That's right lakes are only as wide as its narrows point.

Sam Mendes won't be directing Bond 24...

“It has been a very difficult decision not to accept Michael and Barbara’s very generous offer to direct the next Bond movie,” said the Oscar-winning director. “Directing SKYFALL was one of the best experiences of my professional life, but I have theatre and other commitments, including productions of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and King Lear, that need my complete focus over the next year and beyond.”

Bond’s next director has yet to be decided, but producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli had nothing but praise for Mendes: “We thoroughly enjoyed working with Sam. He directed our most successful Bond movie ever, SKYFALL. We would have loved to have made the next film with him but completely respect his decision to focus on other projects and hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with him again.”

Mendes made a great Bond film but it would be a mistake for that to become a formula. Casino Royal and Skyfall are very different of tone and pace. The next film should be it's own animal as well.

Nah, let Campbell clean up the mess after the next DaD. Goldeneye and Casino Royale are among the best in the entire franchise. I hope Campbell is given a chance to return with the next actor as well.

I wish the cinematographer would come back but that's usually based on the director, right? It would make even horrible Bond movies a treat to see on the big screen if they were all done as beautifully as Skyfall was.

Yep. Fight scenes with really obvious non-connecting punches, underwhelming climactic battles and a retiring Bond FTW!!

I keed, I keed. Well...actually I don't, I really do have those feelings about TDKR.

But despite the above I still think Nolan could make a good Bond film.
