Whaat. I wish they had Chinese with english subs...

Them speaking english (some with "asian" accents) sounds ridiculous and ruins the mood.

They do speak some Chinese with English subs... but sometimes I feel like there is so much going on, I'm happy they don't speak only Chinese so I don't have to continuously read the subtitles and I can enjoy the subtitles.

Options are always good. I hate when people complain about choices (like Skyrim's fast travel).

They do speak quite a fair share of english, but they throw in words or even whole sentences in Cantonese. By the way dominishin, the actors they have are so good, that their accents are hardly ridiculous and definitely don't ruin the mood.

Not sure if that's what you meant, maybe you meant it's ridiculous to speak mostly english with some Cantonese, however rest assured the voice acting is top tier.

Really want this game but I'm trying my best to finish off a few older games first.

I'm a massive fan of Asian cinema , especially the gangster stuff. Election , Infernal affairs , Hard Boiled and the others.
Is this game quite serious in terms of the story or is it more comedic like saints row ?.

Pretty serious, obviously there are some comedic moments (like GTA) but it's not like the silliness of Saints Row.

To not give too much away, the main character has a personal struggle between remaining a cop and trying to keep his cover intact with the Triads, it has a serious tone.

In gaming news, Sleeping Dogs is the best selling game this week in Europe, beating the new Super Mario game.

Hope it had the same success in the U.S.

If you're even sorta interested in open-world games, give SD a shot!

Got this today guys loving it so far, the combat takes a bit getting used to but the finishers are killer Love how vibrant and alive the city is.

The combat definitely does take some getting used to but once you've fought enough and played enough, it comes so naturally and flows so well. Try fighting at the martial arts fight clubs for practice.

the city looks amazing.
I am having a blast with this game.
the fighting is so awsome. enviro kills are so great.
so far just amazing and lots to do.

Finished it last night. Pretty short game. Did all the races, side missions etc. Traded it in for Darksiders 2. Also very good.
