Yeah, I liked Lionel Luthor, so it'll be cool to see him again. Tonight's episode will be a "What If" one. What if Lionel raised Clark instead of the Kents? It should be interesting.

I wonder if Lex is in it at all. Probably not since Michael Rosenbaum hasn't "returned" yet. I still expect him....okay....hope that he comes back for at least one episode in this final season!

Loved the ep from start to finish! Great acting, action and story! Glover and Tom were fantastic! Ultraman gave me chills! This was a winner!

Agreed! Great episode! John Glover just OOZES evil doesn't he? It's good to have him back. The preview looked great for the "fall finale" episode next week. A nice early Christmas present for us Smallville fans!

So with Lionel back in the "other dimension" where Clark is good...I wonder what he's got up his sleeve now.

Michael Rosenbaum...you have voicemail....incoming texts....incoming e-mails from the Smallville writers, and possibly even Tom Welling!

They all want you back! I really hope it actually happens. The return of Lex Luthor vs the Justice League for the series finale' of Smallville!

I was hoping for the rest of the season.

But hey, 3 more is better than no more. I missed Lionel a lot. I think his character was shafted in Season 7, when he got the axe.

That Twitter Tweet was from March. A lot has transpired since then, according to a few interviews with Tom and even one with Michael.

I thought I was finished, but who knows.

I'm not sure. I definitely respect the fact that he wants to venture out, etc. etc, but he has been gone for quite sometime. I'm not sure what he's been up to, but when he executes a character THAT beautifully, I don't understand why he can't make one last appearance to acknowledge the ending of a show with this kind of following. He knows he's missed. He knows the void the fans have felt since his departure. I just hope he makes it back.

Even if it's literally a 5-second appearance in the finale where he steps foot in the Luthor Mansion and says "It's good to be back..." with that devilish grin of his.

I'd absolutely love that. That would be perfect, IMO.

LIONEL! Pa Kent! Braniac! Martha ,the general, supergirl, hawkman, aquaman & more...MR has to know its a big deal, he was apart of it for 7 years!

Tom and him seem to be good friends, and MR even said him an tom have talking, im hopeful for his return in the finale.

LUTHOR ROCKED! I really loved this ep, great action & story, all the actors were on there a-game!

I agree that even a parting shot of him returning as Lex Luthor at the end of the final episode would work. For me, I'd love to see him in more than that. At least the full final episode if anything. I really haven't seen Michael Rosenbaum do...anything...the last few years. Yeah, Sorority Boys, and a part in the Jamie Kennedy flop break dancing movie....what was it called again?

So it's not like he's been "too busy" to do Smallville. If it's a matter of money I'm sure that WB and whomever pays the actors would shell out some bucks for his return. Yeah, I can understand about him wanting to branch out, and not be "pigeon holed" and all that for portraying one certain type of character. But...c'mon. I know I've said before that at least in my opinion, I wouldn't be ashamed or weary of portraying someone like Clark Kent or Lex Luthor and have a big fan following behind me like Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbam do!
