I had a bactrian camel buddy when i worked at whipsnade wild animal park. He was daft as anything but fun to play around with, except when he chewed on my hair and left it all slimey.

Its too thick for my liking.. ow nurse.. the ss stuff and the stuff bill uses is really compact... and would be perfect.

What do you mean I jump right in head first!!! Its not like I have made moulds of all the parts cut up the belt, made moulds of all the belt pouches, the Hasbro bucket and a two part mould of the Tomy helm... cost it all up and will be doing the first casting sess tomorrow night and the kits will go on sale on wednesday for an outrageous chuffin crumpet tickle insane cheap price of one goat and a knee rub.......

I am sorry, I may have exaggerated just a bit.

The kit will not come with any fastenings at the mo as I really want to keep the price really low...

I am not sure, but you seemed to have listed bicep armor by mistake, probably out of habit and the fact that all the other troopers it.

Anyhow I can send you some of the Velcro I use, I know the Velcro that thin is not easy to find, I think that's mainly because it only made by the actual Velcro company so there's no alternative brand for it that thin. The place I get it runs out all the time, and when ever they get a box of black it sells out before I get there, I want to know who the jerk is buying the whole box of black every time they get it in. I could order a box of it from them but its a 10 yard box, and after taxes (10.5% ) its about $66, and that's a lot to blow on Velcro at one time.

well the moulds are done the resin is in.... 20mins and we can see what we have.

the tomy helm... well that may be beyond my skills at the mo.. but i will give it another go when i get more silicon

done dusted sorted... I have not even thought about the belt or thermal det yet... but hey a complete set of scout armour for peanuts and some hard cheese.... so chuffed should have done it ages ago
None of it has ben cleaned up yet but I will try to pop one together asap.

As for the gloves. Well they are solid resin and a pain to cast, but I will have a think about those.

I used a bit of twisty wire you get with figures, stuck some strips on some sellotape so they were all held in place, then trimmed em all in 1 go with a pair of scissors

For the long bits on the main glove i just cut a few very thin bits of plasticard and glued em on.

so just the gloves to do then... all folks will need is german army boots some sort of beltage, body suit and cummerbund from Vivisect... scouted up.


gotto go to bed but pulled the tomy helm out and......

it can be done. the first one is a bit pants but I will give it another go.

I really need help on prices... the mould has cost about £35 buut the resin for the armour is amazingly low due to it being so thin... so how much would folks pay!! NO IDEA!!!!

I will try to think ad put a price up tomorrow for the scout armour and the Nein Numb heads.

well whatever you come up with for pricing you definitely need to include your time and r&d.........

and if it helps at all with the ability to spare some resin.........i dont need a helmet at all. i have a tomy & this is going to be for a good friend of mine. that said im more than willing to pay for the kit including the helmet but letting you know you dont have to ship it or you can send it to a freak that needs an extra one.

The armor is looking nice, and the Tomy helm doesn't seem to have shrunk much since it still fits the head.

The belt pieces are exactly what i was thinking of doing, I even picked up some belt materials to choose from, so it can look like a belt and not ribbon or elastic. One of them is twill tape, its not actually tape or sticky, its 1/4" wide and looks similar to the stuff in the picture, but the stuff I bought is smaller than what in the picture and the weave pattern on it is perfectly scaled and costs only about a $1.50 for 4 yards.

So Mark I will get back to you and show you the material and ship them of to you a head of time with some other stuff so you can slap together the belts, instead of me doing that because I will probably have my hands full with the pouches, and messing around with casting stuff would have probably screwed me time wise.

Anyhow we still got a little time to sort out details, that is if Mark takes some time to sleep, eat and such.
