Cheers guys.

Well after doing a couple of marmit bucket for chakaman I thought about the other thing that I have never been over keen on on the SS one.. the chest plate. Now I managed to get a Marmit stormtrooper a while back and oww Mrs they are stunning so I thought I would try casting the marmits chest! But this would mean cutting the original one up!!!!

But hey nothing ventured...

Huuum my obsessive nature is sometimes too much.. But I idea of a hybrid stormie that looks great does not cost the earth and does not fall over is sooooo tempting.

Looking good! I've not owned a SS Stormtrooper, but I love the Marmit stuff. Look like a great hybrid, though!

Looks like hes making the ultimate Stormtrooper. Cool if he could make a complete figure- body, undersuit and armor for a fraction of the original cost and better at that.

Ooowww there is so much stuff I want to do. The main factor is money :( the silicon is so expensive. I am trying to sell the two republic commando busts we got for the RC project, but I am keeping boss as my son loves him.
I would love to make the other parts to the stormy I think the cost of the armour would be about £15-20 in resin. But it's the time and initial cost of making the moulds.... But imagine if we could get a marmit tie pilot!

I agree, its probably the same or cheaper and just easier just to buy complete storm or clone troopers considering the finishing and painting of the pieces. The commandos were different, since there were none to buy.

Tie fighter pilots and AT-AT drivers though are a different story, not nearly as much to do, even less than the scout troopers even.

If you ever do wanna tackle some pilot bits, it will give me a reason to try out making my own iron-ons for emblems like imperial one on the shoulder of the pilots jumpsuit/shirt.

Oww we could use the chest plate and rig from the marmit at at to make the tie pilots as well! the at at boots could be cast up and the helm might be tough be fun. So we would just need to pipework. The gloves are sorted to.

So if we shift from stormies to tie and at ats would that be better?

I just need to sell the Scorch and Fixer busts then we can get cracking.

I put them on ebay for £115 each, do you guys think thats to much?

mark - what are the risks of damage to the originals?

i do have both a marmit Tie and ATAT pilot
and would be happy to lend it to you mate

Cheers Cbob I have changed it right away. :)

As for harm to you marmit buckets Sithlord.... the only possible problem is that I will love it sooooo much I will never give it back and we will have to engage in a open air wrestling match in leotards and fake tan before I surrender it to you mooohhhhaaaahhhaahhhaaaar

:)
sorry about that, well I would only need the Tie helm really as I have a AT-AT and I chuffin love em
