Damn it Disney, you can't even get the character posters right.

The posters are meh, IMO.
I thought the trailer was okay but nothing to get me super excited so far. I still look forward to seeing this movie though.

Well, his story won't be "to save the universe"... so all you're gonna get from Solo is a heist movie where he ends up doing the right thing at the end. Not sure what else this ever could have been.
That said, the galaxy might be too big for a simple heist story.

This is the Chewy actor from some of TFA and TLJ right? He took over for Peter

Man, what was it with those OT Chewy suits? Chewy is second only to Yoda in the "we'll NEVER get him looking like he was in the OT" department.
This guy looks fine enough, but also looks like he just jetted in from a clone battle on Kashyykk.

The special modifications he mentioned in ANH presumably. I'm guessing he also makes a few to his face so he can turn into Harrison Ford by the end.

I have a feeling that they might put the idea that Lando used the Falcon as a carrier for the Empire at first, then Han modified it into a smuggler ship.

I have been a fan, huge collector and avid reader of anything Star Wars related for 40 years. I have been lucky to meet most of the cast...been to the con's, spent tens of thousands in merchandise.... That does not make me special in any way.
Star Wars should NOT be as a religion is to some. It should not be bigger or more important than other experiences in my life in the real world these past 40 years. its a matter of perspective, something alot of Star Wars fans seem to have lost in the last 40 years.
I suppose if your main identity is being a Star Wars fan.....then I see your point. My point is , as we have heard many times before, that this is a universe built off a film franchise. The passion anyone has, including mysel, should always be tempered by reality. So that is why I sound casual. Not because I am, just because in light or real world things, Star Wars is Star Wars....and real life is real life. I have seen people live for sports teams as well, and forget that, in the course of their lives, there are many other things that should inspire passion besides a single , really unimportant thing, like a sports team or film.
So if we get a bad film...its ok....life moves on.....If we get a great film, awesome! Either way, the experience of seeing the film with friends and family, discussing it, and maybe even joking about it, is the real passion I have about the films....
Which is why I discuss them on a dollie forum.
For YOU it was......how you can make a blanket statement like that, and assume everyone should agree with you is beyond me.....well...it is the internet.
I liked Rouge One alot, but it was not anywhere close to the way I felt about OT as a young boy.....if you ask people , you will get a varied opinion on Rouge One.
