Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I didn’t know about the dice either. I thought they were something they’d explain in Solo. :lol

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

So I'm not the only one.

I see no harm in giving them a little back story though, sure **** it

what is going to suck is if she gets shot and as she dies she hands him the dice... some crappy cheesy stuff like that. that would be annoying to see.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

This movie is already a lost cause for a lot of people, so might as well give the damn dice a backstory.

Man you call yourself fans.....

I jest....

I think the dice will be a memento of either....

1. Someone who died.
2. The only payment he got for the heist, which you know will also be the thing that puts him in debt to Jabba for the first time....

maybe the dice always had diamonds inside but he never knew and he never opened them. maybe at the end of the movie you do realize they had value hidden inside and he was just too dumb to realize it

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

More important question about the dice would be, after Luke Projection gave the dice to Leia in TLJ, why did she just toss them on the ground in the abandoned base? She didn't know they were projections, you'd think she would have held on to them as a memento of Han.

That's cold, Leia!

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

She wanted her son to pick them up as in “look what you have done now face your demons” and “I’m still alive you didn’t win!”

Clearly you never had a relationship that went south....

I don’t want a memento from
My old girlfriends ........

I might care that they don’t die horribly....but keeping a old pair o’ dice is creepy.

I agree that everyone but Han, Chewie and Lando will die.

:lol

I've had my fair share.

I figured they were still technically married, never officially dissolved their relationship. But, I guess.

because she knew Kylo would find the specific place where she threw them... right

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I dont think she meant to leave it for him to find him. it looked like he jus happened to find it. not a planned thing from her. she was much more worried about being killed with all these other people....

How would she even know Kylo would go inside that room? Rian meant that as a coincidence and you know it

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

One of my students, who is in the comic book club I sponsor, gave me a check today and said it was from his father's business and his father (apparently he's a HUGE SW fan) wanted his business to sponsor the entire club to go see Solo. :yess:

I love my hometown and the people in it. :rock

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Which is it?

Both....depends on the sap......

My guess is the answer you are looking for goes like this...

Memento from girlfriend killed tragically (especially if it’s your fault).
ok....

Memento from your loser husband who abandoned you and your son....
Not ok.

I am not in the “Han is a cool guy” fanclub. Han , to me, was not a great leader or person in general [for what we know so far]

He redeemed himself a few times, but overall comes off to me mostly self centered and egotistical.
