Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

But then why does Beckett have Chewie carry out the very same "fake" boxes? And why are they so carefully putting the "stuff" back into said boxes.

Maybe someone smarter than us can tell us the scoop because I still don't get it

...and by the way Emilia was hotter than s*** in this movie.....man oh man

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

It does actually.

Also explains where he got his name.

And his dice.

They forget his whip. But there's a lot of Indiana Jones easter eggs.

the whip is lando's. he used it in their intimate time

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

Lando was total pansexual in this movie. Can't believe people say they don't see it. The man has a closet full of capes for god's sake.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

How lazy comic artists are these days. Just tracing stills from movies and thinking they're "drawing." Luke's stroke is obviously a freeze frame from Jedi where he wails on Vader and cuts his hand off.

Yeah, they also used that **** Sideshow DX Vader helmet sculpt as reference - you can see it from nearly every angle in those comics.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

this thread is kinda quiet for a star wars opening
kinda weird, this movie is dead isnt ?

They all assumed there'd be a switch because that's what Han had explained to Beckett (the plan you see Han going over but that you don't hear). So there was no switch but Beckett thought there was and so Vision was undermanned on his ship, especially when Qira turns, as all the guards were attacking Maya Rudolph on the ground thinking a switch HAD been done. It was not very interesting or clear why NOT switching it was a good idea -- I guess Han figured they'd have Vision outnumbered regardless? :dunno

I wouldn't blame them, it's the industry, they need cheap content fast, so artists gotta pull through.

I doubt they even trace it themselves, plus there's also that 3D style going on nowadays, I ****ing hate it.

That's why the few artists that are allowed to do their thing are a godsend.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I just got back from seeing this one, and it was precisely what I thought it would be. Hammering home how every little thing the audience knows about Han came to be--how he got his name, how he met Chewy, why he calls him Chewy, how Chewy became his co-pilot, how he met Lando, why Lando pronounces his name differently, how he got his gun, how he got the Falcon, what the Kessel Run was all about, etc. etc. :yuck

The Maul cameo with his robot legs was so damn stupid.

It's what the masses want I guess, but this ain't for me. Taking all the terrible stuff from Rogue One and multiplying it by about 20. Marvel is part of the same company, but they are doing things so much better than Star Wars is now.

I enjoyed the train scene, though. Acting was pretty good. The guy playing Han did a good job. Woody Harrelson is almost always good, and Donald Glover was really good. I don't think Khaleesi has a lot of charisma, though.

There was an article on the issue a few months back: https://io9.gizmodo.com/theres-something-off-about-marvels-star-wars-comic-1822347742

And then the plan was... what? Kill Vos and... what?

While I am so completely against the photo like images for comics, let us not forget that drawing faces isn’t easy. Look at this from a previous Star Wars Infinities comic from not very long ago.

Drawing faces is easy as hell for anyone with even a remote trace of talent.

Whoever drew that.....thing.....obviously doesn't.

Why the hell do you keep thanking people for posting a review like you made the movie? You did that in the black panther thread. Weird.
