I know right? Almost another Richard Donner Superman II situation.

My money's on some of the actors dropping out now,

specifically Glover who is very much an Auteur himself.

This is what they get for making a non-Harrison Ford Han Solo movie. Them getting fired makes more sense than them walking away. After axing Trank's Fett movie and encouraging Edwards to go with his instincts and kill everyone off in RO I'll continue to trust Kennedy until she gives me a reason to do otherwise.

Stuff like this makes me wonder why Alan Horn doesn't just install Feige and Kennedy as "showrunners" for their respective franchises. Why even bother hiring established directors at this point?

Ron Howard and Lawrence Kasdan are reportedly the frontrunners to finish up the production. Seems like Kasdan would make the most sense in this situation.

I hope that Kasdan doesn't somehow position his son Jake into taking over as director. That little dope almost asked me to jerk off in front of a urinal while he filmed it and I'd prefer not to be reminded of that every time I see the credits of a SW movie. Why are people sad to see the cartoon directors go?

Directors (any director) leaving a project is a big sign of trouble. A sign of studio interference or a director not being able to handle the project.

Back in 1997 I was asked to be an extra in his first movie "Zero Effect" and I never watched the finished film but we were doing a scene where Bill Pulman goes into a public bathroom in a YMCA to pick up some briefcase or something that had been left in one of the stalls. It was this little production and Jake was directing the extras instead of letting an AD do it and he was just acting like a complete moron who has no idea what people actually do in bathrooms. At first he wanted me holding my live exposed **** in front of a urinal, then asked the DP if I should be "playing with myself" and at that point I was all dude I don't care if your dad wrote Raiders I did not sign up for this and excused myself from the scene.
