The shooting will drive Jax to make sure the club gets out of the gun running business. Also will give the authorities a reason to really turn up the heat on the club.

I guess this season will end with Jax outsmarting the Irish and getting out of guns. Cliffhanger will probably be Trig dying.

Nah.. that incident is gonna drive the plot this season. The kid that did it used one of the Tec-9's SAMCRO sells for the Irish.

I get what he's saying though. It's a tacky, "shock jock" move like something John Waters would do. They could've made the same point having a shootout at a fast food joint and have a child get killed. Instead, Sutter went for the "cheap" out to capitalize off of the open wounds from Sandy Hook. Reminds me of his poor decision to suddenly make the Colombians CIA agents.

American Horror Story also had a school shooting and that was before Sandy Hook. Just another version of art imitating life.

I get the feeling that as these last two seasons wind down, it's going to be more painfully obvious that Sutter's stretched his once brilliant Hamlet biker story far beyond the point of snapping for a few more paychecks.

I read that Kurt Sutter might be considering making a prequel to the SOA eventualy. It would be about the First 9. I think Ryan Hurst could play Piney. He would look different without a beard. What do you guys think?

No. Then he'll spend next year seeding stuff that ties into the spin-off instead of writing the best final season he can.

I have prequel fatigue.

That's good. It's close to running its course. It's getting away from great story telling.

Hopefully that's incentive to put out better written episodes. If he ends the series with garbage, that's gonna be a lonely show, ratings-wise.

I had a problem with Nero shooting Dave Naverro's character but not the girl because she had two kids that live with their dad. Just did not make sense to me. Wasn't he supposed to be Nero's cousin?

Yes Arcadio was Nero's cousin.

I think Nero's reasoning was Arcadio had pulled a gun and was a threat. He didn't like it but he understood it.

Considering Dave is touring with Jane's I'm not surprised they wrote him out.
