I thought last nights episode was a little weak. Tiberius got off too easy. I did like how they honored all of their friends that had fallen over the years. Hopefully the finale will blow the roof off.

I'm just the opposite on Tiberius. I thought he got exactly what he deserved, as inglorious a death as possible. The episode overall did feel a bit like filler, the calm before the storm I guess. I'd say, overall, it was the weakest of the season.

Just finished it and was surprised how Tiberius died, at the hands of Kore.

The nailing of Agron to the cross was painful to watch.

Really excited for the series finale.

This show doesn't do weak. I liked it, a needed 'breather' IMO before whats presumably to come in the next episode.

I'm puzzled though how that trade was actually done. 500 prisoners for Tiberius' dead body and Kore? 1) How could Crassus really agree to give 500 people back to his enemy? and 2) why wouldn't he use that as an opportunity to ambush?

I agree about this being the weakest episode of the season, but I still greatly enjoyed it.

It was nice to take a break from the main story line and have the gladiatorial tribute. Loved seeing Spartacus, Gannicus and Nasir fighting. Hearing Spartacus shout Sura and Varro's names, then the "Crixus!" chant brought a tear to my eye.

As for Tiberius, I wasn't expecting the Pompeii guys to actually be Spartacus' men. Really cool twist. And Spartacus pulling and flipping him around by the end of his cape...badass.

I don't know how I feel about his death though. I agree that it shouldn't have been glorious (and it wasn't), but I still think it could have been handled better. I never felt that wonderful surge of vengeance that I was expecting to feel. Would've liked to see him get tortured and humiliated a lot more.

I loved it :) Was really nice to see spartacus and Gannicus do what they do best and fight like they did in the arena.

Cant wait for next week. I feel it may be a sad one tho :(

I feel like next week's ought to be a movie length episode. I wish it would be but presumably its normal length since I haven't heard otherwise.

Yeah, it's only an hour. The episode is intriguingly entitled, "Victory."

Got off too easy?

Sat in his little cave watching his men get slaughtered buy slaves toying with them. Then got she **** beat out of him by a woman and thought for sure his life was over only to be 'saved' at the last second. Then when he thought he was home free, stabbed in back, just like Crixus. Justice served.

:exactly:

I don't think they could have crafted it any more perfectly.

The fact that he got killed by a slave was wonderful because he felt that they were so far beneath him. I really don't believe he would have made it back to Crassius anyway. Caesar would have killed him first.

Pertaining to what we have yet to see:

I wonder who will end up killing Gannicus, sadly he is fated to die in battle :gah:

I'm worried it'll be Caesar - which I fear will make me despise him
