I think I remember Brosnan saying he'd like to equal Moore's amount. He definitely wanted to do at least one more after DaD.

Even though I hated DaD, I was upset that they were recasting him with Blonde Bond. Boy was I glad to be proven wrong. Brosnan is fine in my book but TND and TWINE didn't age as well as Goldeneye has. And DaD was never a decent movie.

I'd love Craig to go forever but at the same time I'd like him to go out on a high note.

Has any Bond gone out on a high note?

Connery would have been the closest if he stayed away after YOLT. But he just had to come back for Diamonds.

That said, Diamonds still beats View to a Kill, LTK and DaD.

Is this supposed to be Craig's last film as Bond?

No, he's contracted for one more after SPECTRE. After that though? He's alluded to wanting to stay Bond for a while more, and also giving it up...so who knows. One thing to consider though, is that providing there's another 3 year gap until Bond 25, Daniel Craig will be 50 when his fifth film comes out.

What about Lazenby? OHMSS is far better than Diamonds :lecture

Diamonds Are Forever was mediocre IMO. View to a Kill is awful. I've always thought of License to Kill as a bit of a mess tonally. Die Another Day... ick.

I'd vote for OHMSS if it counts.

Think I've only seen Diamonds or OHMSS once each so maybe I'm not best placed to decide who had the best final movie. Heck Diamonds wasn't even Connery's last if you count Never say Never again.

This is the beauty -- all the Bond swan songs are pretty terrible. I think it really gets down to what Bond you grew up with and can tolerate in a poor movie. For me, its Connery. Can't stand either Dalton movies. That's why there's only two. DaD is so bad its almost interesting to watch -- although admittedly I actually like Zao as a villain (I even have the silly 1/6th figure).

OHMSS is probably the best of that bunch truthfully though. It's just never been a "Bond" movie to me -- the wedding, the kilt, the new guy, the weird 60's direction and needless over-cranking on the camera, Telly Savalas. LOVED all the skiing bits though.

I watched Octopussy in Rio surrounded by a whole bunch of Octopussies just outside the theater on Copacabana beach.

Octopussy is hands down the worst Bond movie. I don't care how you turn the argument; Bond in a Gorilla suit AND Bond in a clown suit! Terrible villain, terrible plot, silly eggs that made no real sense, those stupid knife-throwing twins, the tennis player, bad disco-era satin tights in 1983, the "Tarzan yell", the hot-air balloon as a "gadget", the henchman's death where you can so clearly see the parachute that its laughable (besides the fact that he's sent to his death by a simple antennae whack), snake-charmer playing the Bond theme... it just goes on and on...

You crazy boy! For me Octopussy and Moonraker were my favorite Roger Moore Bonds
