Speculation: Hot Toys "Solo" Movie Figures

Leftover rubber body suits from the Sequels.

Would make for poor posing and limited lifespan.

The HT Death Star Gunner pleather shirt has the same issues - tears and limits posing.

Not sure what suits the other Solo Imperial troopers have (the one I pictured only has that rubber for the shirt, not the pants.)

I took the pleather jacket off my Gunner. Regular fabric makes me feel much more comfortable when posing figures.

Don't know why it was decided to change the trooper body suits from the simple black onesie to the thick rubbery one. The interim movies are getting hand me downs from 30-40 years in the future.

Not sure how well the helmets are painted in production but that figure combined with some HT gear could make for a cool custom. Would probably require dremelling the armor and using parts from the SS Scout too.

Yes please to a mimban. I wish they'd make qi'ra but am guessing they'd have to buy the licence for Emilia Clarke which might be expensive

It also looks like there's no skin visible on the other one, as opposed to some of the neck/chest exposed on the Han one. I might wait on preordering this in case we get some variations.

Definitely want that Mimban trooper though.

Highly doubtful they'd have to acquire Emilia Clarke's likeness rights. Pretty sure all actors sign out their likeness when contracted to play in Star Wars. Trading movie rights for licencing rights when negotiating with Fox studios for an extended budget to finish up the original movie back in 1977 is a big part of George Lucas legend.

Hopeful, but I'm reminded of the Shoretrooper pictures with the other variants included exactly like this. They never materialized.

And if this doesn't chalk up enough POs, they most certainly won't.

That's what I was thinking. I think the Mimban Stormtrooper will be next up. Getting for sure if it does get announced!

I don't think they will make more than 4 Solo troopers. Only 2 shown so far with no PO. SDCC will tease some PT I think.
