I'm another one who just wants a flightsuit Poe. Just my opinion, but he's the only one of the new characters who reminds me of the spirit of the OT. The only ST Hot Toys figures I have are the old f@rt versions of Leia, Han, and Luke. So yeah, give me a Poe and I'm done with Disney/ Kennedy Wars, then nothing but OT for me.
Someone earlier mentioned kids now seeing ST when they're five or ten years old. On May 26, 1977, for my fifth birthday, my aunt took me to see some just released space movie called "Star Wars" (not "Episode V: A New Hope", just "Star Wars"). I had seen a commercial on TV for it and it looked good. Some little woman with what looked like cinnamon buns on the sides of her head telling somebody to get a walking carpet out of her way. It also had robots and spaceships, so I wanted to see it. It was also the first live-action movie I saw in theatre. I wanted every character, ship, and location I saw in that movie as a toy. Of course, I had to wait a year. Forty-three years later, that movie and it's two sequels are still three of my most loved movies and I still collect figures and other memorabilia from them. (I like the PT fine, but I understandably don't feel the same emotional connection to them.) I honestly can't imagine kids at five years old today seeing any of the ST movies and having the same feelings I have for the OT forty-three years from now; the same nostalgia and desire to collect figures or anything else from them. Maybe that will change and the ST will have a resurgence of interest like the PT have, but right now I don't see it. Hell, they don't seem to have any interest now.
