Spider Man, Black Suit Spidey and Venom up for Pre-Order!!!

I really like the Venom design. Always thought his comic design was pretty weak, it was the last comic RAH I ordered and that was only to be a completist. But I didn't hestitate with the movie version - much cooler.

I like the Venom figure but I disagree about the design. I personally prefer the comic book look w/o the web design.

I don't think it will be that big a deal. Like was stated earlier, the same thing happened with the X3 marquettes. No harm, no foul.

Medicoms ALWAYS look like the protos.

Thats just not true especially when it comes to color.(but they're on spot most of the time)

The color on the protos look much better in these cases. Is that because they paint the proto heads as opposed to leaving the mass produced unpainted, flesh colored plastic?

I bought the original Venom RAH comic version and sold it after looking at it in the box without ever removing it. I've never been a fan of the character or the design from the comics, especially not the most radical versions of drooling tongue flicking absurdity and I just couldn't imagine ever displaying it once I had it in hand. It was also 11" tall and would have looked ridiculous next to my almost 12" comic Spidey. The film version though looks great and I'm looking forward to recieving it. I think all three of the new RAH Spider-man 3 figures look very nice.

I prefer the comic version as it's visually more striking with the big white spider over the black. I think the movie took an easy way out by not doing the comics version of the symbiote.

Venom movie version looks even worse with the web patterns on the suit.

Easy as in not suddenly introducing a huge Universe spanning Civil War embracing hundreds of heretofore unintroduced characters, in which Parker loses his old suit and is given the symbiote to wear instead? Yeah, I'd say they picked the easier road. Thank God.
