Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Let's not do this. We just had one thread closed over this.

On topic, yeah. I'm starting to think they're just gonna wait for Homecoming so they can release him solo.

Suppose the upside to that is it'll be cheaper than a double pack... I can wait. Time to save up too!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I have been wrong before, but I feel like at this point, this figure isn't happening, and HT is just developing a figure for Homecoming. Perhaps whatever the license deal for CW is too complicated and not cost effective to put towards a figure, but maybe for Homecoming it's different? :dunno

I don't think you can write it off fully - I mean they're still making Iron Man I and II figures

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

It's hard to predict HT. I remember people here guaranteed they wouldn't make a Thanos until Infinity War.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Can't believe HT would really throw webbing on Cap's foot at a major show, only to NOT reveal Spidey. What a tease. But.... I'm not going to be mad at them since they're re-releasing my grail piece. Still, seems kind of messed up because they knew what that webbing would imply.

(Unless it's totally not webbing and just something supporting Cap from sliding backwards)

:exactly: Booooo! :lol Looks like webbing to me.

They could have used sticky tack on the sole of his boot or something if it was just meant to hold him in place

Yeah. I mean honestly I'm just trying to find a logical reason WHY they would put the webbing there other than to giggle at angry "where's Spider-Man?" comments lol

True. Though I think in this case it might be less likely since unlike Iron Man (who gets at least one new outfit every movie), it's been observed that the Homecoming suit is mostly similar to the Civil War one with only a few differences. They might not think it's worth it, especially with the licensing restrictions that were talked about.

I hope they do one but I'll not be shocked if they just make us wait until Homecoming.

Because it was a diorama re-enacting a scene from the movie. IIRC, Spider-Man had pinned down Cap with webbing during that scene. They were probably just trying to make the diorama more screen accurate.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

I really thought we would have seen something due to the webbing on caps foot, thought its was some kind of teaser.

The more I see the Mk. XLVI, the more I like the Mk. XLV, lol.

It's a tough call for me. I really like both. But I've ultimately decided to get the 46 :)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Spider-Man Collectible Figure

Why would that atrocity have any bearing on what HT does with Spidey?

That's what I'm wondering. I don't get how another Spider-Man figure being released has any relevance on a HT CW being released. That's like saying HT won't come out with Deadpool since SS did.
