Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 17th, 2021)

I was talking to my kids about this, possibly the most brutal Spider-Man film and we couldn't remember the last time MCU did that, maybe Civil War? My little one said he counted the number of times Spidey punched Goblin at the end.

It was 17 btw.

Yup. I was very surprised. I remember they said in homecoming spidey wouldn’t punch anymore and I thought that was so stupid. Seeing him finally throw (very intense ) hits was impressive. Its like Sony/marvel decided to take the reigns off and stop making him so damn safe.

Heroes can't kill, can't hit, can't use guns, can't curse, can't look mean, can't use harsh language, can't insult, can't be intimidating, can't challenge, can't ridicule, can't question, can't scold, can't narrow their eyes... basically, they've become school teachers.

I haven't watched Homecoming in a while but after NWH I feel it's due for a rewatch. I did just watch FFH for the first time since the theater and still enjoyed it quite a bit.

Especially with a plot/ storyline that’s mediocre at best ( minus the Nostalgia and fan service ) that is ridiculously impressive

This is a culmination of like almost 3 trilogies, this was a huge selling factor, I just put myself in the shoes of the actors pre MCU who never got that chance of being famous post MCU and looks like they got their chance

what a load of bollocks this movie was. It’s only saving grace is that such a clumsy and uninspired reset may deliver a good next movie. Clearly I’m in a tiny minority but this for me is as lazy and disappointing a franchise instalment as Prometheus.

Come on, it wasn't that bad. Sure, Dr Strange somehow has the power to erase the whole world's and multiverse's minds, which he could have used against Thanos to make him forget about the Infinity Stones, but hey, it was nice to see Dr. Strange taking an L from a child, Tobey and Garfield cleaning a kitchen, and Ned do magic. That's billion-dollar writing right there. God I hope Dr Strange kicks *** in his upcoming film!!

Go back to your 7/10 Matrix Reissued thread lol. When a character mentions who is making the movie in the movie, that's an auto 1/10 grade from me. I'll take my Spidey and Strange any day.

I heard it’s absolutely ****. I saw some clips online and it was sci-fi movie level crap.

I watched half of it. Nice atmosphere, very nice recreations of the locations, but horrible casting for the most part, silly moronic dialogue and I now remember why I didn't finish it.

It was cool seeing the RPD, the STARS office and mansion in real life though.
