Re: Spud's Customs

That is definitely an impressive collection Spud. I too am conflicted. I prefer the Phase II clones, but prefer the Phase I Jedi armor. The Phase II jedi are too close to the movie costumes, which I already have so I wanted some variety. Any plans on making an Ahsoka to go with Anakin?

Re: Spud's Customs

I would love to have an Ahsoka but I don't see myself making one. I'm not apt in the craft of sewing or anything like that and I don't have the head sculpt or a body. It just seems like it would be so much of an undertaking that I'm afraid to delve into it. That's the first thing I asked JonEl when he announced that he would be selling some of his customs, but he said Ahsoka was definitely not for sale. :( Which I can't blame him, I wouldn't sell such an awesome custom I made either.

Yeah really the only difference between the phase II Obi Wan and the Ep. III Obi Wan is the clone forearm and elbow armor and armored gloves. Which ,you know if I could pick up another Ep. III Obi Wan for next to nothing I would definitely do. But I'm not going to spend close to $100 for the figure just to do that. The Anakin I got off a seller on eBay and I got new tabbards from Spider and I replaced some clothing, and I still have a little painting to do on him.

I feel the same way about the Phase II over Phase I appearance and mine is because when I think of phase 1, I picture the clone wars cartoon appearance which differs greatly from the screen phase 1 look. With phase 2 they're pretty much the same.

Haha thanks man. And welcome to the forums. :D

Re: Spud's Customs

The clones look so good in large groups like you have spud. I would like to put together a group and I'm torn between the 212 and 501, can only have 1 group though. :gah:

Re: Spud's Customs

Thanks, Outlander. Yeah if I had to choose I'd probably have to go with the 501st. They're still my favorite.

And this, pretty grainy but so awesome. Four stormies are way better than two.

Re: Spud's Customs

Finally got to do some work on my clone wars Obi Wan. I did some basic weathering and got the logo on the shoulder started.
A starter sketch with pencil.

Then a rough paint up. Still need to do some slight weathering on it.

I'm really pleased with how it came out because I've been putting it off and putting it off because of the fine points on the logo itself and I have self doubt at times. But with the success of this one now I think I'm good to go with the Senate logo on Fox's shoulder since I still have yet to do that.

Re: Spud's Customs

Thanks guys. Yeah I'd love to have an Ahsoka to go with them. So anyone out there that has one, if you ever feel the need to get rid of it, hit me up first. haha
