Why then they would just be the Advent Children versions

There was nothing wrong with the game versions they looked a lot better than the Advent Children ones

I'm not sure why people always want to change fundamentals to look more realistic or whatever

That's the charm

The game versions look pretty dated and silly. I don't really care for nostalgia. There was some silly **** in that game that were definitely a product of its time... like fighting houses...

An no "fundamentals" are being changed... the outfits are still the same, the models are just updated to look how they would've wanted back then.

I don't see how the character design is outdated when AC is based of the same design just made to look more real and like a japanese person

It's not like they are basing them off the polygons in game they are based off the artwork

They look pretty similar minus the realism and slightly different clothing

If anything i'd say Cloud looks worse, his hair looks way better in the game, as do the clothes. They messed up making them all look too Japanese

The game versions shouldn't be made to look like they do in AC at all

Hrmm, pretty sure that's my point. They're just updated to look more detailed and believable.

Anyways, I still prefer the AC characters, outfits, monsters, vehicles, weapons, and world design over the 1997 video game.

Yeah, but don't let that deter you man. Check them out and give them some consideration. My preference is for the original game as well, but these figures are very impressive. They're probably the best figures SQEX have ever made.

Sorry to go off track but has there been any word about adding more Tekken Characters? I just got Kazuya (the character I always play with in Tekken) and I love him. I was hoping they would release a Devil Jin, Heihachi, Devil Kazuya, Kazuya in a purple suit and regular Jin.

It's been awhile since they came out right? They might of given up on the line, I don't know if they sold well.

Yeah, word on the streets (heh), is that the line didn't do very well and neither did the game overall. Despite both being fantastic, I think it was just a series of things and just not being "big enough". Everyone wants blockbusters these days in the gaming and toy worlds. I hope that they haven't abandoned Tekken, but I fear they have. That said, if you're only going to get two figures, they didn't pick bad ones. Kazuya in particular is bad ***. It's just a shame they didn't give him more accessories. This is one case where he could have used a second face or head at least.

I'm still on the fence about Jun. I never really used her in the games. I think Heihachi should have been the second character since hes been there since the very beginning and would be pretty good match for Kazuya with the whole throwing each other off cliffs/volcanoes thing.

Jun has such a beautiful design so I'm glad she's getting figures. Julia and Lei are my favorites though They'll never get anything

Yeah, Jun is a very well designed and executed figure. I'm bummed that the line seems to be done with just one volume. I've been a Tekken fan since I was a kid and was really hoping we'd finally see some good collectibles. I'm tired of the same few characters getting pieces and no one else.

Yeah I remember my brother bringing home Tekken for PS1. The graphics were insane for that time. We've pretty much been buying every Tekken that comes out. I guess its going to be rare to ever get any good Tekken figures. Maybe a smaller company will pick up the brand and try making them like NECA or maybe even the Figma line.
