I much prefer the original Japanese version of the new Berserk movies to the American releases. Things have been edited too much for my tastes.

In regards to FFVII:AC.. yeah, the figures are awesome. I'm not sure how much they're going to change, so far the figures have been really accurate, with a nice mix of classic SQEX anime style. I finally got my payment request from Amiami for my set and they should be here early next week.

I didn't realize that they had been edited at all. I may have to check out the subtitled Japanese releases.

I pre-ordered Vincent and Yuffie from BBTS so I have a feeling I may be waiting for a while. If they become available for a reasonable price on Amazon before my order ships I may cancel and order from there instead.

I'm not sure about Rufus yet. Not really a key character for me and I find myself being a bit more selective at $80 each. I may end up caving though. Bit of a completionist.

BBTS is probably the most expensive place to buy from. If I'm getting PAK I like Anime-Island, Tatsu Hobby, and Kirin Hobby. Competitive pricing, reasonable shipping, or free shipping, makes them cheaper than BBTS. I like BBTS alright as well, but the high prices and often super slow turn around on shipping usually leads me elsewhere. Amazon and Tatsu Hobby are my preferred choices though when they have things in stock I want.

Considering Rufus' importance in the grand scheme of things I couldn't pass him up, plus the figure looks great.

Just watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children on Blu-ray for the first time. I enjoyed it much more than the first time I watched it for some reason. Even more excited at the prospect of a full line of FFVII figures!

My only concern is that Barret looks a little odd in the movie. Hopefully they take some artistic liberties with his likeness and come up with an alternative to the fishnet shirt.

@Krec9: You're signature and avatar reminded me that the second movie in the Golden Age trilogy had been released. Immediately ordered it on Amazon and watched it. Amazing! I'm enjoying it even more than the '97 anime and have my fingers crossed that they'll go past the Eclipse into the Black Swordsman era. Now when is the US release for the last part of the Golden Age trilogy?!

Its good but so much is left out .Still have to pick it up.my sig is when guts kills all those people in the torture dungeon.

original always the best :lecture

I'm sure SQEX will eventually do a MGS2 Snake, it's just a matter of time. I'm hoping he's in the works for later next year. It'll be one of those cases where having one Solid Snake is better than none. Solid Snake & Cyborg Ninja have become expensive, but you just have to watch for good deals. I'm fine paying $150 a piece to get them. Yeah, it's a big price tag, but they're worth it to me.

If I didn't have a 1/6 Mgs1 snake I would pay the crazy price for the Pak.

I love the PAK stuff, but I'm also a world builder. Well that's what I call it. I like to get as many characters as possible and really fill out the display. 1/6 stuff seems really piece specific, and geared more towards one off releases, or pairs at best. So a 1/6 Solid Snake is great, but Solid, Liquid, Cyborg Ninja, and Meryl? Heck yeah, that's what I'm talking about. So I see equal room in my collection for both. I know a lot of people are satisfied with one version of a character. I see it a lot in other scales, where most people only have say.. one Spider-Man figure. I have a ton... lol.

KAAAAIN!!!! My favorite FF character!

And his color looks terrible....... what's with the excessive purple? He looks horrible with all that.

The colors are Kain's colors, nothing new. Compared to Warrior of Light, he's actually a lot closer to the source material. It's pretty spot on in terms of colors and color separation. Some people might not like it, but that's just the nature of the design.

Looking at the Dissidia Kain model, the colors are way different and there are more shades of purple, as is the design, especially on the helmet. The helmet is originally much more "dragon-esque" while this one just sort of have the shape.

Is this some alternate costume he had in the game?
