That's normal. Bigger items are more subsidised than smaller items.
I asked them also some time ago:
I liked the statue right from the first time I saw it. Cool pose, nice details ... awesome base. I don't bother about a Lee version or a modern version. I looks like a very decent statue and that's the only thing for me what counts.
But I can understand that some fans are looking forward to a Lee Beast and were dissappointed when the first pics of the beast comiquette were released.

I received an email saying they will charge on Tuesday (18th). I will be on holidays by then but I will be getting it first thing when I get back! I am actually very excited about this one.

I just find another side of statue .... most statues are very furious.... ready for actions.... but it is hard to find one that purely showing the intellectual side of a character .... (That's why I love SSC's statue, each piece gives me a story, unlike other statues, which simply are standing there.)
