Lol @ Rory
I got my replacement full helmet but didn't send the replacement reveal dome !

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My first helmet had paint splatter on the cheek. Also one of my shin guards had a glob of glue. I just got my replacement head and the dome is crooked. I hate to ask for another replacement. Is it easy to just straighten out the dome myself?

I had a problem with the "helmet head" The right tip was missing. Emailed Sideshow with photo and they're gonna send me a new head The figure is still fantastic and their customer service is stellar

I finally got someone at SSC to get back to me about replacement parts!

The problem is that I have to destroy the old parts now, I don't know if I can intentionally destroy a figure. Anyone have any idea how much they charge you for these parts if you don't destroy them?

Full price for a full replacement.

For those of you who had damaged tusks, did the plastic tray cover on yours have a section cut out over the tusks??

Mine did, and it had no breakage. It certainly looks like it was cut out by hand. I'm curious if there was a second batch and they made that change once the initial reports started coming in.

I would have liked to get this guy directly from sideshow for the exclusive, but with the QC issues I was scared too. So I paid a little more and got him at an actual store (non exclusive). I was able to inspect the figure straight out of the box before buying it.

I just got mine and the bottom of the cape looks like my 3rd old son cut it. Has anyone else had this issue? what did you do?

Had the exact same issue. Took a couple pics and contacted Sideshow's Customer service. Got an answer within a few hours and a replacement within a week.

Even after reading most of this thread, I broke down and ordered him. Hoping for the best. He shipped today. Just too good to pass up. Even if I missed the Exclusive.

When my Vader arrived his right tusk was missing from his mask and the helmet was loose but my retailer sorted me out asap.

Well ****. Looked through this thread and found some of these issues on my Vader figure.....

Mine has frayed cape and one leg is longer, I tried to push in the foot of the problem leg but it wouldn't budge. So now my Vader is standing tilting to one side.

Also hate the lanky arms so I had the cape covering the arms. I really regret selling my ANH Vader. Hoping Hot Toys will release their version soon....

Hoping Hot Toys will release their version soon....

I think we'll see another man on the moon before that happens. In fact, a man on Mars or whatever fantasy thing you can think of because I don't think we'll ever see a Vader from Hot Toys. Maybe never another SW character at all.

There's nothing about the design of the body that can allow for one leg to be permanently or irreversibly longer than the other, so whatever the cause, it should be a very easy fix. The suit is simple as pie to remove and that will reveal the issue immediately.

hello,
My vader turned up with a hole in the cape I have contacted sideshow and they told me that they will send me a replacement cape but I will be responsible for the shipping cost to the UK. They have given me an email with a shipping cost of $28.61 to ship it to the UK so how do I pay for this. there is nothing in my sideshow account and they haven't sent me an invoice for the $28.61.

$28? Wow. A first class or even priority package are both a LOT cheaper and perfectly safe and very fast. With tracking too.

You should tell them that you'll take care of the shipping arrangements and send them a label. Then go to stamps.com, buy your postage (from Sideshow's address to yours), save the label to PDF and email it to them.

That surprises me. I thought SSC wore the shipping on faulty products.
