Well, add me to the list. I put mine on Flex pay so I just got mine today. And right out of the box I have a missing tusk :gah: Haven't had a chance to check everything, but kind of a bummer.

On the plus side the figure overall looks incredible, so as long as I get a new tusk I'll be a happy camper :duff

Look around the box.... it is extremely tiny but it is in there!! Or at least mine was!

Sideshow is replacing my helmet that was missing a tusk... and also the cod piece that became unglued. I received no order to destroy, so I am more than pleased with this outcome! I had filled out the complaint form on Friday, and I got the email about replacement on Monday... so not bad! Just its waiting the standard 7 - 10 days for fulfillment.

I did look in the box, and all around but in this case either it fell off before it was in the box or when I opened him the tusk abandoned ship :lol

I did call CS today and they were very helpful and have a replacement in the mail. So, it's all good with me. And I checked the rest of the figure and everything else seems to be great on it, no other issues and all the lights work. So aside from a small annoyance we're in good shape.

Anyone got any pictures of what a Frayed Cape on him looks like?

Also do you need to put batteries in for the chest box to light up?

Frayed capes look frayed. If the edge on your cape isn't perfect then it has an issue.

Batteries: There are instructions in the box about this. Open the battery box.

Thanks. I saw a couple of loose threads and some of it looked like it needed ironing. I don't know if that means it needs replacing or not.

Thanks Pixel.

One more question. Is the display helmet supposed to have tusks? Mine doesn't.

Yep, it should... mine was missing one. Call Sideshow directly and they'll sort it out for you. I called last week and just got a tracking update that the replacement head (or parts, not sure which) will arrive tomorrow.

It's been a very common issue, so much so they didn't even ask me for pictures :lol

Got my replacement head today. Tusks are in place, much better condition. They didn't say anything about what to do with the old one though.

I guess with the amount of exchanges, the time it takes to just sit and register which customer destroyed what might be a few work weeks that can be spent in better and more productive ways.

Yeah I guess. I thought their standard MO was for destroyed pics of the replaced part, but maybe since there were so many screwups with this fig, they don't care.

That'd be my guess... I've had about an even split between them asking for no action, to return or destroy the item. But like you said with so many being damaged I guess they are not too worried about it.

Weird. Every picture online i have found doesn't have the tusks on the display helmet (not the Anakin head). i guess most were broken?

The display helmet/mask doesn't have tusks. The tusks are on the part of the mask that sits under the chin, which is only found on the full helmet and Anakin sculpts.

They're out of focus here, but you get the idea:

I guess I misunderstood him... I was thinking display being main head... but yeah, if it's just the faceplate then no tusks.

Got my replacement head in and it looks good. Funny, I didn't notice the dummy head in there before, a cool touch :lecture

Also, the head came in a small custom plastic tray so it wouldn't rattle around and get broken, too bad Sideshow didn't use one of those in the first place :lol

Mine arrived with bent tusks. Second one had a nice dent on the dome. On my third helmet, the dome was crooked. At least I can attempt a fix on that one.

I'm really hating SSC's QC.

I finally got someone at SSC to get back to me about replacement parts!

The problem is that I have to destroy the old parts now, I don't know if I can intentionally destroy a figure. Anyone have any idea how much they charge you for these parts if you don't destroy them?

Since getting the notice about an impending shipment of replacement head, I haven't heard anything - that was over 2 weeks ago. Nothing has been delivered, and there has been no new reply after an inquiry I sent on Monday.
